It’s become painfully obvious over the past year that the Justice Department under Attorney General Merrick Garland has been weaponized and politicized to the point that it represents an active threat to the rule of law and the separation of powers. It’s not too much to say that Garland’s DOJ has become a threat to the republic.
Just take this past week. On Thursday, following an historic 6-3 U.S. Supreme Court ruling that struck down a New York law for violating state residents’ Second Amendment rights, a DOJ spokeswoman released a statement saying “we respectfully disagree” with the ruling.
The ruling is of course a great victory for the Constitution and a long-overdue vindication of New Yorkers’ Second Amendment rights. The law in question had been on the books for more than a century, and made it nearly impossible for ordinary people to obtain a concealed-carry license, The unconstitutional law forced New Yorkers to prove to a municipal bureaucrat that they needed a gun for self-defense. In practice, this made it almost impossible for law-abiding citizens in New York to exercise their constitutional right to bear arms.
But neither the law in question nor the Supreme Court’s decision implicates federal gun laws in any way. There is no reason for the DOJ to weigh in on the matter or express any opinion whatsoever on the ruling...

Merrick looks like he’s insane
I’ve heard they made free another cell at Gitmo...
And deserves to be treated as such. It’s time, people!
The is a reason they wanted him on the Supreme Court.
He is one of the inner sanctum.
I agree. He has no problem locking up Conservatives and sic’ing the DOJ on them. Kelly Ward in Arizona is the latest one.
Garlick ain’t right in the head. He looks like Adolf Hitler’s crazy uncle. Der Kleine Fuhrer.
It was weaponized long before Garland’s shadow crossed our great land.

and they did absolutely nothing.
One of the first things that needs to be done is to impeach him - keep the article very narrow in scope in order to keep control of the narrative - but impeach nonetheless.
Same thing with the secretary of homeland security.
And then put them both in the nearest laughing academy. Straight jackets and rubber rooms are the order of the day.

Meritless Garland is doing payback for not being appointed to the SCOTUS. His goal now is to direct the FBI and DOJ to ensure one or more of the conservative SCOTUS justices are harassed into resigning or killed so he can be appointed.
Can someone who was appointed be impeached?
I suppose we have Lindsay Graham to thank for Garland being approved.
