The US Senate has passed a gun control bill-the most significant firearms legislation in nearly 30 years.
Fifteen Republicans joined Democrats in the Upper Chamber of Congress to approve the measure by 65 votes to 33...

They all backed the bill to keep from losing the female vote.
That’s what I got out of it from the article yesterday - dollar amounts of funding towards things. I didn’t realize that that stuff can get added in with the law stuff.
And their are new laws and changes to existing laws in this bill (or at least the draft bill that I downloaded).
I forget the number, but they say the average person breaks a large number of laws every day. The wording in this bill will no doubt add many more of them.
When the State of Washington a few years ago passed their law about requiring a FFL form to buy or sell a weapon it was sold as a very “common-sense” gun law. It was as a ballot item and voted in by mob rule - otherwise known as democracy.
This “common-sense” gun law has 30 pages of text. It is not just about the sales of firearms between private citizens - it uses the term “transfer”. This new law actually outlaws a father handing down his rifle to his son without an FFL. It even outlaws the dad letting the adult son hold his rifle at the range, hunting, etc. The wife can use the husband’s gun if there is an “imminent threat”. However, the husband can’t leave his gun for her if he goes out of town for the weekend.
Anyway - as soon as I downloaded the pdf of the bill and saw 30 pages I knew it wouldn’t be good. I wonder how many people that voted for this bill looked at the law? 0.5%??? If that.
But yay! We are keeping guns out of the hands of bad guys because of this law.
(Not sure how to explain the huge increase in shooting incidences in the Seattle area though. Maybe the bad guys can’t read?)
Agreed,
And they are so discpnnected from America, they oignore the blood of innocent childrn and refuse to legislate armed security for the schools of vulerable children.
They are ghouls, unmoved by what they saw in Uvalde. They did NOTHING.
SHAME ON AMERICA.
THEY KNOW THE ONLY THING THAT STANDS IN THIER WAY IS THE PEOPLE AND THIER GUNS
This is SO great!
A shame it won’t save one life.
“Republicans- snatching defeat from victory at every opportunity”
Yup, they are masters at it.
It will be sad to see on the Wednesday after the election in November that the Dems increase their seats in the House and Senate as millions of us 2A supporters just stay home and give the middle finger to the Repubs.
I bet the Dems will have a 60+ seat majority in the Senate and probably a 50+ seat majority in the House.
The stupidity of Republicans is off the charts.
Why are you posting from the House bill? That’s not from the Senate bill.
What part of “Shall not be infringed” don’t they get?
They rule by emotions and passions they are going down the dark Soviet road.
Now they’ll prance around like idiots claiming they’ve now made schools safer.
They are already saying this will save thousands of lives? It's like when government hands out taxpayers funds in the millions or billions to attract (pay off) a new business venture - they assure us that it will generate ten times that amount on secondary business gains, which never happens.
I have a hunch that, in normal parts of the country, we’ll be seeing a lot of that.
They’re not stupid. They understand “shall not be infringed” perfectly well.
They just don’t care. They have power, and by the demons they serve they’re going to USE that power. They’re evil.
Now we know the 15 that need to go.
The Gun Bill all but guarantees a margin of victory so slim that ballot harvesting and ballot stuffing / mail in voting is now in play to push democrats over the top.
I expect a virus reemergence shortly before the mids.
And gang members just cover their mouths and smirk.
