- with McConnell and 14 other Republicans giving it a boost
The Senate voted 65 to 34 to end a Republican-led filibuster on the gun reform package, with final passage coming as early as later Thursday
Senators were working on an agreement that would allow them to expedite the process instead of waiting 30 hours for a final vote
Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell was among the 15 Republicans to vote in favor of the package
The House could pass the package by the end of the week House Republican leadership is encouraging members to vote against it

Lindsay Graham of course
Such a puddle.
My goodness.
My neigbor is already red flagginhg the whole neighborhood.
She is looking for a big gun! OR ELSE.
The Republicans are about 1 thing. Money, and letting corporations control everything. It’s been that way since 1854. They hated Trump and allowed fraud to put him out.
They ll support about anything or change their minds on anything. But not big govt high taxes and corporate handouts.
That’s what Delorenzo said and it looks true to me. In Virginia they supported the rioters when they said anything. Just to try and get a leftist vote. If the party was done away with tomorrow the country would be better off. They ve been in power far too long and with the dems have destroyed the country. They couldn’t care less as long as they can tax with unlimited power to do so
Traitors know the punishment for their overt and covert acts.
Either we want to live as free men and women, or we are slaves.
Imagine if Justice is swift, and final.
Now imagine how a replacement Senator will vote if the man or woman he or she is replacing has been convicted, sentenced and judgement carried out in an efficient manner?
Is there any other way?
You simply cannot vote your way out of a dictatorship.
You do know the red flag laws are being instituted to come after me first, and you second?
Live free, or die.
We are already dying slowly.
Well THAT sure helped things, didn’t it????
Getting rid of the 17th Amendment would be a wonderful start.
If the person is doing a good job for their state, then they shouldn’t have to worry about whether or not they would be selected by the state legislature.
Demoralization is a powerful weapon.
Cornyn’s not up this mid-term, but the next one. There are many, many of us who want him gone. I voted for Cornyn from his very first election, but never again.
Cornyn is not up until 2026. He benefits from those in TX who are unaware of his Senate votes.
Already voted against Cornyn in the 2014 and 2020 primaries: he was the runaway winner. People in TX are too uninformed.
