They can't....It was a NY case. The USSC doesn't do appeals. It's the court of last resort.

She's just stuck on stupid...as usual..

Yes,that's what I was thinking of,the "full faith and credit" clause. But you mention bar associations...IIRC there's no specific Constitutional guarantee to be allowed to practice law (or to drive for that matter),whereas...well,I think you know where I'm going here.

Also,I don't need a license to invoke my 5th Amendment rights,in any state or territory."Officer,I'm invoking my 5th Amendment right to remain silent" works very well indeed everywhere. So does "officer,I was exercising my 1st Amendment right to criticize that politician...that public official...that political party" also works very well...everywhere.

I wonder if anyone's challenged laws of that sort in Federal court using the arguments I just spelled out.

Any fee on a CCW would be the equivalent to a poll tax.

But the poll tax was disallowed by the 24th Amendment. The amendment is very specific. It only covers poll taxes for Federal elections.

I think they just made all the blue states into “Shall issue” states. I don’t think this does away with a permitting process.

I've heard more than a few times that this is the last week for SCOTUS decision announcements.

The 6 States that have “may issue” a conceal license, will be under this ruling. The rest that have “shall issue” are constitutional.

A U.S. Supreme Court decision applies to all states and all jurisdictions.

Long ago, I heard of a blue city (I forget which) where open carry became legal, due to some court decision. So the police would arrest people who openly carried guns, not for violating gun laws, but for "disturbing the peace." (Because some people were traumatized by seeing other people carrying guns.)

I wonder what sort of workarounds the Left will come up with to bypass this ruling. You just know they have dozens of sleazy legal tricks up their sleeves.

Alito responded to Breyer’s exit defense by saying that nothing in the law being overruled would have prevented the shooting in Buffalo. Indeed, it didn’t.

They never stop, they're like locusts. They don't sit back and do nothing like the GOP.

When that happens I expect No Guns Allowed signs will go up as fast as they can be printed.

And if any building or business permitted guns, the moment a shooting occurred on the premises, they'd be hit with lawsuits -- personal, class action, and from the D.A.

The governor of NY said the government has rights and that this outrageous decision will be fought.

How?

They just lost the final battle...

Who do they appeal to? Heaven?

That would seem to me to strike down pretty much every restriction or licensing scheme for concealed carry nationwide.

Expect to see the price of holsters go up in the short term.
