A LOOOOOOOONG ways.............................
Actually pee would be a substitute for DEF...urea. Pig urine was used initially for testing.
WHAT KIND OF IDIOT DO THEY HAVE FOR A DELIVERY MAN???....................
Couldn’t a person put some DEF in the DEF tank, and then sever, somehow, the connection between the tank and the exhaust system, allowing the sensor to see a “not empty” tank, allowing you to run your vehicle?
Coming? Sounds to me as if it is already here.
Don’t get me started. It said “87” right on the paperwork. I think he got into a “I can hit this last delivery” zone and forgot to see if it was the same fuel he had in his truck.
The reason he stopped filling was that he thought he was smelling gasoline. BTW, the tank has, in big black letters, “Gasoline” on the side of the tank. It was a “new shop warming gift” from my (now Deceased) son from his fuel company up in the Chicago area. Way too fancy for our purposes (It’s basically a mini gas station), in in our current environment, could come in ridiculously handy.
BTW, the silver lining is that the gasoline they pumped out was two years old. 😁
It took me about 3 months to find Shell Rotella at my local Walmart.
The oil shelf looked like baby formula shelves.
Unfortunately DEF has a shelf life, so there is no stocking up on it....
I cut him some slack because about 40 years ago I filled my Saab with diesel. It was a different time, though. The gas station handed me a long garden hose and we just drained it into the storm drain. 😛
BTW, it would start, but when I touched the accelerator it would immediately die. I did learn that diesel is not really harmful to gas powered engines and they can even take a small percentage with no negative impact.
OTOH,a shortage of diesel will hurt the economy massively.
Teh impotence of galvanized go-fasters for diesel...
Biden would say , “ good they can buy EVs “ , LOL
One method may be the the careful/selective employment of Lead Pills traveling at high velocity.
I think as far as truckers are concerned, it’s more about the price than it is the availability. I was monitoring a conversation between truckers on the radio and they are fed up. It’s getting to be too expensive to haul with the price of diesel. Several said they are going to have to quit hauling.
MAYBE NOT-—BUT the trucks that deliver your everyday needs DO.
Well, I deleted my truck and everyone said I was crazy because I wouldn’t be able to sell anywhere but Alberta. Diesel going away would hurt a bit, but up here, there’s always fuel. In the event that becomes too much of a hassle, I will ride my horses heh.
I don’t disagree with your sentiments, though, they will keep you alive while I suits them.
Once they decide they need to finish their population reduction, all bets are off.
I checked Kelley Blue Book today for my car’s value, and it asked if the tank was full or empty.
I checked Kelley Blue Book today for my car’s value, and it laughed..........................
