A public opinion survey in New Hampshire, the state that for a century has held the first primary in presidential race, indicates that Florida Gov. Gov. Ron DeSantis has a razor-thin margin over former President Donald Trump in a hypothetical 2024 GOP primary match-up.
According to polling numbers released on Wednesday by the University of New Hampshire Survey Center, 39% of likely Republican primary voters in the Granite State would support the first-term Florida governor, with 37% backing the former president. Respondents were provided a list of potential contenders for the 2024 GOP presidential nomination, and DeSantis margin was well within the survey’s sampling error.

I know you want it to happen, but Trump will run in 2024 and he will win, no matter how you try to post everything you can to split allegiances.

And talking up DeSantis won’t make any difference either, because Trump supporters already like DeSantis. There’s no hostility between the two - much as Rintintin would like to see them at each other’s throats - it’s not going to happen.

desantis is currently running for reelection for florida governor this year (2022)...
if he wins reelection he’ll be sworn in january 2023...

It’s been a long time since New Hampshire bore any resemblance to the rest of the country.
Gov. DeSantis rocks. That stated I do hope he heeds or overcomes the missteps Gov. Walker made a few years back.
Gov. Walker put Act 10 in place wresting the control public unions had over the state. Massive blowback, threats recalls and Gov. Walker stood strong. Won a decisive victory in 2014 and then proceeded to start campaign for President.
After loss, he pretty much mailed it in 2016-2018 blunting conservative momentum for the rest of his term. TO the point of a voter fraud tinged loss to Tony Evers, the Jao Bai Dan prototype
In my estimation, we are not going to make it to 2024 at the rate we are going.
