Video making the rounds on social media shows a Miami-Dade police officer’s comments to a man during a traffic stop, News 6 partner WPLG reported.
The stop took a threatening turn for the driver, who was heading to work.
“Give me your driver’s license, registration and insurance,” the officer says in the video....
The MDPD officer then made a very bold statement to the man.
“Simple thing, man. This is how you guys get killed out here, man,” the officer said.

Then they wonder why black men always end up with white women.
Black fragility is real.
Your anti-police statements are disgusting. As a former prosecutor and criminal defense attorney, I can assure you that 99.9% of the problems in traffic stops are caused by the black motorist. I, myself, have been pulled over 20 times in my life without a problem. Why? Because I am polite, respectful, and cooperative. In fact, 2/3 of the time the cops let me go without a ticket. It is disgraceful that we as a nation put up with this uncivil behavior. The public response to this clown should be obey the law or go back to the continent from which you came.
Exactly. Not wearing a seatbelt will get you killed, even if you are severely psychotic, like this guy.
My Dad made is simple. He told me, “The Cop has a gun. You don’t. Say sir and do what he says.”
Possible. Not sure what preceded the beginning of the video. Miami-Dade didn’t play around, back in the 80s. I don’t know why they would today.
Almost every time infsct. The edited videos come out first, everyone gets all hot and bothered, then days later more details become known, and .o and behold, the perps really did have a gun, or try to run the officer down, or became combative and refused to listen to orders. Etc. Time and time agsin this happens.
I think that would be “youse guys” or “you-uns”.
Hmmm........ she’s not white. She’s an unsupreme Black womanm
A true and possibly helpful statement. I guess truth is news in today’s Big Lie Media BLM world
Most of the time the police pull you over because you are driving dangerously both to yourself and others. By not stopping them, it will lead to increased injuries and deaths for the drivers. Her complaining will lead to more deaths and injuries to black drivers. I guess that is what she prefers. She should visit a black person who has been paralyzed in an auto accident and tell them at least they were not stopped by a cop.
In some jurisdictions, any probable cause will do. They’re angling for other offenses...driving without insurance, DUIi, or drug possession. A lot of big drug busts are made because someone fails to use a turn signal, or has a brake light out.
Is this now controversial?
Trial by Combat over a traffic stop? It was certainly a possibility.
Oh please. Your driving you get pulled over. Hand over your registration insurance and license. It really is that simple
People need to realize that most cops are having a crappy day too.
They’ve dealt with all sorts of unhappy people all day long, not even counting those who give them attitude ... the best advise I can give anyone is just stay calm and polite, don’t be another angry unhappy person (because they can give you cause to be even unhappier), keep your hands in sight and announce actions you are gonna take (like opening the glove box).
Do you have a link to the video showing the motorist yelling at the cop? WRT to the citation for not having proof of registration or insurance, read below.
The driver, Gerardson Nicolas, said he was pulled over while on his way to work and admits he wasn't wearing a seatbelt.
"Give me your driver’s license, registration and insurance. If not, you will not be going to work today. Simple thing, man. This is how you guys get killed out here, man," the officer is heard telling him.
"What? Say that again? Say what you just said," Nicolas responds.
"Registration and insurance," the officer says.
Nicolas said he began recording because he was afraid for his life.
"I was scared, I was scared. I didn’t think my life was going to make it," he said. "When he asked me for my license, open the door, I started recording. I was looking for my stuff, my license because I didn’t see my wallet. I was looking for my wallet and that wasn’t my car, that was my mom’s car and I didn’t know where the registration was, I was looking, looking. He got mad."
According to WSVN, Nicolas was ticketed for not having proof of insurance or registration. He said he later did show proof of insurance and registration when his mother came with those documents.
He didn’t have it.
Then there’s those Saturday morning road blocks.
Papers pleaze. Your paperz are not in order.
