CNN economic analyst says in order to have a 'kinder' economy, inflation needs to occur
Fox news ^ | 06/19/2022 | Joe Silverstein

Listen to this article 0:00 / 4:06 1X BeyondWords The New York Times published a new episode of "The Ezra Klein Show" on Friday featuring an interview with Rana Foroohar, CNN’s global economic analyst and a Financial Times columnist. In the interview, Foroohar called for a ‘kinder’ and more environmentally friendly economy, and said inflation must occur in the short term to achieve those goals. Foroohar also heavily criticized the Federal Reserve for creating what she describes as the ‘everything bubble’ in financial markets. "What’s the cost of something if you actually have a real price on carbon, and then you have to tally in how much it costs to tote it over tens of thousands of miles from the South China Seas? What’s the cost if you have proper environmental and labor standards?" Foroohar asked. "This is the conversation happening right now. And once you start pricing all those costs in, and you start really thinking of the economy in a different way, then yeah, it is certainly is inflationary."

She noted how Democrats don't want to admit that inflation might be necessary to transform the economy with the midterms fast approaching.

Okay, GOP, now is the time to prove that you are not just controlled opposition. We’ll see what happens. Granted, the Left letting everything devolve to economic questions is an interesting strategy. The GOP is okay with that, as long as they don’t have to talk about trannies grooming children (which couldn’t happen without feminism and single mothers). It’s time for the “right” to reclaim some territory. Let’s see what happens.

What he is saying is that you can’t have Communism without inflation?

That is why CNN ratings are so terrible.

CNN suffers smallest weekday audience since Obama regime, gets pounded by Fox News once again

The is nothing but economics accounting for "externalities."
Two British economists are credited with having initiated the formal study of externalities, or "spillover effects": Henry Sidgwick (1838–1900) is credited with first articulating, and Arthur C. Pigou (1877–1959) is credited with formalizing the concept of externalities.

The word externality is used because the effect produced on others, whether in the form of profits or costs, is external to the market.

It's been a wet dream of green kooks and anti-capitalism kooks for decades to force companies to account for what they claim are the "external" costs of production, i.e., costs that are imposed on society that are not counted in the cost of goods sold.

It's a legitimate concept, but almost impossible to put into practice. Who do you put in charge of calculating the external costs that will be imposed on consumers? Government? Ha!! Communist economists? Ha!! University professors? Ha, Ha, Ha!!!

There HAVE been some successes, though: air pollution controls, water pollution regulations, seat belt laws, zoning laws (some cases), helmet laws. Flame away!

What she is saying is that once the weak have starved to death, things will be much better for the elite that are left.

Rana Foroohar used to be an Inflation Denier and then she was on Team Transitory. In a 19 July 2021 article for Financial Review, she stated, "Post-pandemic inflation fears are overblown." She's clueless.

Yup. If someone is raving about carbon, treat as rabid dog. To them “kinder” means you are your children as slaves. That they will in turn be murdered by the commie trash they support will be no comfort.

There are tens of millions living off savings.

The idiot thinks further impoverishing them is a great idea.

My parents spent thousands trying to keep their children comfortably warm in winter.

That humans can inadvertently warm the entire planet instead of million of well-insulated houses is absurd.
