Then he was wounded in the Battle of Stalingrad...bad enough to NOT be shot by the Russians, and light enough to survive. An American patriot like only a person who has lived under tyranny can be. Only time I ever saw him cry was when I left for Ft. Dix. He told me I didn’t know what I had gotten myself into. Of course, he was right.)
