The Select Committee to Investigate the January 6 Attack on the United States Capitol held its third hearing on Thursday afternoon, which many observers on social media found “boring.”
The hearing was so boring, in fact, that NBC News’ Lester Holt announced the network was ending its live broadcast of the hearing to air the U.S. Open golf tournament.

I thought some of the testimony was interesting, if repetitive.
However every time they let Michael Luttig speak, time slowed to a crawl. He looked like a character from Lewis Carroll, minus the clever wordplay. I was pretty impressed that Bennie Thompson was able to maintain his "I'm taking you seriously" face the entire time Luttig drawled on.

Hey, you can’t win a golf tournament on Thursday, but you can lose it.
Somehow, I think that their little kangaroo court is getting overshadowed by economic news.

there was another hearing?
lol
sorry, busy, no time for silliness.

Poor ratings....
NBC probably saw the soaring interest in Canadian pre-season exhibition curling tryouts in Saskatchewan. People were glued to that and didn’t use their remotes to get back to the Jan. 6 stuff.

Q: What is more boring than golf on television?
A: Golf on the radio (and J6 hearings).

FOX news is forcing their viewers to watch. I tuned to the SyFy channel. Didn’t even notice what SyFY had on, but whatever it was, it was more watchable than the hearings.

NBC probably saw the soaring interest in Canadian pre-season exhibition curling tryouts in Saskatchewan. I was about to make a joke about "wait until the CFL is back" and went to check when their season starts. It was last week! I missed a week of football I will never get back! (Sobs) I'm addicted and the CFL is my methadone. Where else can I see someone tacked neat the sideline at mid field and hear "he's aboat oat of boands at the 55 yard line"?

I like to watch golf on TV. It is fascinating. The thrill of victory. The agony of defeat. What’s not to like?

Missed CFL.....
Try to face it and forgive yourself. They say you can’t leave a place unless you admit to yourself you have been there. Or something.

It's not every day you get to hear about deliberations within the Executive Branch regarding a matter of massive constitutional consequence from some of the lawyers directly involved. At least more interesting than golf, right? :P

HOW boring was it? SO boring that they cut to golf!
Now THAT’S boring!
