Perfect balance...just added nine more tomato plants that a friend gave to Mrs. L.

Now I am totally maxxed out!

Good evening, rockinqsranch...all is well here except for smoke from far away fires.

Hope spring and early summer are treating you well.

We’re getting clobbered, that’s for sure. This intense heat goes all the way up to Canada though I don’t know if their heat indices are quite as high as ours. Our air is so thick with humidity. It’s uncomfortable outside right now.

We’ve been overdue for a summer like this and I’ve dreaded the return.

Our AC is keeping us comfy though I bumped the temp up a couple of degrees. We don’t want it to conk out! Our attic fan died and we have a new one coming any day. That will help because right now, it’s hot up by the ceiling because the attic is so hot. No trees close to the house for shade so the sun beats down on the roof all day long. We hope the fan’s here by the weekend when we cool down to 90 degrees with low humidity. Hubby will still make the swap late at night when it’ll be at its coolest though it’ll still be hot up there. Temps go back up to around 100 again Monday and there’s no way he’ll be able to stand it in the attic then. How long past next Wednesday this heat will continue, I dunno.

I remember your AC going out last year. At least you had somewhere to go to stay cool! Enjoy your 75 degrees and know a lot of us are jeeeeaaaaalous! LOL

Howdy, luvie.

I’ll bet you’re relieved to have running water again. Kudos to those guys doing the repairs so quickly!

Hi, Pro...we must always remember. As your weather can’t make up its mind, is today a good or bad weather day?

They worked all night and had teams from other towns in to help out. It was a relief to be able to clean those toilets, that’s for sure. Rain water is good for plants, but kinda full of icky stuff.

We still have a boil water notice....unless that’s changed in the last couple of hours. They said we could shower, but I think I’ll just wait till the water is disinfected and chlorinated, thank you very much. LOL

Just found the latest update: UPDATE 12:30 PM:

Odessa City Manager Michael Marrero tells CBS7 he expects all citizens of Odessa to have moderate pressure by end of the day today

After normal pressure is returned they will begin a 24-hour period of testing water samples for bacteria, etc. Crews are hoping to test the water Thursday morning after the plant recharges. It takes about 24 hours to get test results back to ensure the water is safe and free from harmful bacteria.

Once the water samples pass all testing the boil water notice will be lifted.

Marrero adds the water is safe for watering plants and showering, but when washing hands be cautious. No consumption or cooking without boiling.

Lower Odessa will get normal pressure faster than upper Odessa. This will be true until maximum pressure is returned

Recharging the towers will help with gaining pressure back. Residents are asked to hold off/ be sparing with usage.

Repairs were finished last night. Today workers are making final adjustments, then they will fill the hole and repave.

Even as the city starts to get under pressure, it will be easier to recharge if people are sparing.

Bottled water is recommended to wash hands when preparing food.

Sounds like around here. Something major like that happens, teams from other towns show up to help. I’ll bet the local crew appreciated all the help. More people allowed for everyone to be able to take breaks to cool off, and the work got done quickly.

Can’t blame you for wanting to wait a little longer to shower. I would too! But at least you can flush every time again and that’s a good start. LOL

That was the best part. Not having to use buckets to refill the toilet tanks. They’re heavy!

Are ya going to see Trump when he comes to your state?

Ok for showering but not for washing hands? That’s a bit silly.
A pass on showers! Yuck!

Been there, done that with having to fill the tanks and yes, it’s not fun at all. At least that part is past for y’all now.

I didn’t know Trump planned to be here. But no, we won’t go.

Yep, it could have been worse, taking longer to repair.
If something had to go out for a day, better that it was water than electricity.

Our weather has been cooler than usual, Kathy, still waiting for some 80-90's weather to warm us up.

We need a lot more sunny and hot weather to keep the huge agriculture area economy here growing and thriving. It's been terrible weather so far for the fruit farmers.
