Donald Trump turned on his daughter Ivanka Trump after her testimony to the committee investigating the January 6th insurrection revealed she didn't think the 2020 presidential election was rigged.
In a 17-second clip of her interview to the committee that was played during Thursday's primetime hearing, Ivanka backs up Trump Attorney General Bill Barr's assertion that the election wasn't stolen from her father.
The former president said on Friday that Ivanka was 'not involved in looking' at the results of the 2020 election.
'Ivanka Trump was not involved in looking at, or studying, Election results. She had long since checked out and was, in my opinion, only trying to be respectful to Bill Barr and his position as attorney general (he sucked),' Trump wrote on Truth Social, the network he helped establish after he was banned from Twitter.
It was a shocking turn of events. Trump and his daughter were known for their close relationship and she was seen as his favorite child. She served as an adviser in his White House and Trump often said she could be president one day.

Almost married a stunningly beautiful tall blonde who was brilliant - she often said, “I hate it that people love me for my looks and don’t even value my intelligence.” She was one who did not believe that she really was beautiful.
But her confidence in her intelligence and feeling of superiority because of it would have killed our marriage.
So glad I waited for God’s woman - beautiful, intelligent, but unaware of both. And after almost 50 years of marriage, she keeps getting more wonderful......

She said she respected Barr and accepted what he said. That is very close to a non-answer, which is all the committee deserves.
One could "accept" what Barr said because one believed that nothing would change things, not because one believed that there wasn't election fraud.

Ivanka became an unpaid employee so she would be covered by ethics and financial disclosure rules. She had an official office in the White House.
