We’re almost out of ammunition and relying on western arms, says Ukraine
The Guardian ^ | June 10, 2022 | Isobel Koshiw

Ukraine’s deputy head of military intelligence has said Ukraine is losing against Russia on the frontlines and is now almost solely reliant on weapons from the west to keep Russia at bay.

“This is an artillery war now,” said Vadym Skibitsky, deputy head of Ukraine’s military intelligence. The frontlines were now where the future would be decided, he told the Guardian, “and we are losing in terms of artillery”.

“Everything now depends on what [the west] gives us,” said Skibitsky. “Ukraine has one artillery piece to 10 to 15 Russian artillery pieces. Our western partners have given us about 10% of what they have.”

Ukraine is using 5,000 to 6,000 artillery rounds a day, according to Skibitsky. “We have almost used up all of our [artillery] ammunition and are now using 155-calibre Nato standard shells,” he said of the ammunition that is fired from artillery pieces.

“Europe is also delivering lower-calibre shells but as Europe runs out, the amount is getting smaller.”

The Ukrainian president, Volodymyr Zelenskiy, said last week that between 60 and 100 Ukrainian soldiers were dying each day and a further 500 were being injured. Ukraine has kept the total number of its military losses secret.

Soldiers speaking to the Guardian from Ukraine’s frontlines this week painted a similar picture.

Skibitsky emphasised the need for the west to supply Ukraine with long-range rocket systems to destroy the Russian artillery pieces from afar. This week the Ukrainian presidential adviser Oleksiy Arestovych told the Guardian that Ukraine needed 60 multiple-rocket launchers – many more than the handful promised so far by the UK and US – to have a chance of defeating Russia.

“Everything now depends on what [the west] gives us,”

Short of the west getting directly involved which is not going to happen the west should give good free advice like the war is over, concede your loses and move on or lose it all. The west needs to stop throwing good money after bad.

Tucker Carlson Today - S02e060 - Ukraine: What's Really Happening (06-09-2022)

L. Todd Wood was one of the first experts to warn against U.S. involvement in Ukraine. He’s been reporting on the war and knew it could 'tripwire into a much bigger conflict.' He joins Tucker to share the truth about what's really happening in Ukraine.

Yup.
And what happened to the $40 Billion Dementia Joe/Pelosi gave them?
Russia can keep producing huge quantities of arms like forever. They've been doing that since WW2.

Maybe if the Ukes stopped selling so many of the weapons we gave them on the black market they wouldn’t be running out.

That’s such whistling by the graveyard. They don’t have a shortage of arms, they have a shortage of experienced combat troops most of whom are now pushing up the daisies in Donbas. What’s left in this Globohomo shitshow are conscripts shoved to the front lines after 2 weeks of training enduring withering artillery 24/7. None of them have even been rotated out for rest in months-that’s state sanctioned torture. Zelensky needs to get on a damn plane to DC and beg Nuland and Blinken for permission to surrender and the media needs to recraft the narrative as a “moral win for the west” or “the Russians hate us for our freedoms” or whatever.....

I’m sure our many arms manufacturers would love to ramp up their production lines to give Ukraine whatever they need to destroy Russia and that bad man Putin. Just do it!
Risk of total nuclear war? That’s a chance we’ll have to take to rid the world of evil.

Ask the Taliban. They have twice as much value wise of our stuff as we are sending to the Ukies. Surely Ukie could afford to buy some.

--- "...throwing good money after bad."

This has been the European Union's, Britain's and the Biden administration's behavior for the last many years. Why? Because jolly good corruption has allowed much of that "good money" to be rather nicely turned to "bad" in the hands of Biden, Pelosi, Kerry, Romney and the EU Commission's many lesser known poobahs. Riches were to have been had. Riches were had. Riches via this kind of corruption are now going to dry up, and revelations to what went where will begin to be found. Ukrainian politics before and after the color revolution and Nuland's deft advice which included the memorable "F**k Europe." Ah, leadership.

“Why haven’t Joe Biden and Lindsey Graham taken out Putin yet?”

They can’t because if they attempted to do so, they know he would find out and it would be considered an act of war. And so far, even though I don’t understand why with the liberal history of aggression in foreign countries, we are not part of the active war being raged in the Ukraine. We have committed nothing but weapons and training...no actual action has been identified. So we have not had any known casualties yet.

Executive Order 11905, issued February 19, 1976, by U.S. President Gerald Ford, prohibited any member of the U.S. government from engaging or conspiring to engage in any political assassination anywhere in the world. Promulgated in the wake of revelations that the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) had attempted to assassinate Cuban leader Fidel Castro in the 1960s, it was the first executive order to ban assassinations. It was successively superseded by Executive Order 12036 (issued by President Jimmy Carter on January 26, 1978) and Executive Order 12333 (issued by President Ronald Reagan on December 4, 1981), both of which affirmed the ban in the same language, which differed only slightly from that of Ford’s order.

All three EO’s were under the understanding that they were valid for peacetime scenarios. We, currently are not at war with Russia.

And even though the Russkies have every bit the training deficiencies as the Ukies, they enjoy great superiority in one area where the differences between practice and combat is smallest, ARTY. IN ‘43 when Rommel ran our green troops out of the Kasserine Pass what stopped him was the effect of our ARTY manned by equally green troops but for whom actual combat was not much different than combat. My late father in law was one of those green troops and he told me they just did by the numbers, same as at Fort Sill. Russkie ARTY guys are doing the exact same thing and I would not want to be a Ukie grunt right now.
