FBI Arrests A Top GOP Contender For Michigan Governor For Jan. 6 Charges
Talking Points Memo ^ | 6/9/22 | Matt Shuham

Posted on 06/09/2022 9:23:27 AM PDT by EBH

FBI agents have arrested one of the leading contenders for the Republican nomination for governor in Michigan over misdemeanor charges related to his actions during the Jan. 6 Capitol attack.

Ryan Kelley, a frequent right-wing protest leader who attended the Jan. 6 Capitol attack, was one of the few remaining gubernatorial candidates on the Republican side left standing after a massive signature forgery scandal wiped out the race’s previous slate of top contenders.

“Ryan Kelley, 40, of Allendale, Michigan, was arrested this morning on misdemeanor charges stemming from the Jan. 6, 2021 Capitol breach,” Bill Miller, a spokesperson for the U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia, said in an email.

“He was arrested in Allendale. Mr. Kelley is to make his initial appearance this afternoon in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Michigan.”

A criminal complaint listed four charges against Kelley: Knowingly entering or remaining in any restricted building or grounds without lawful authority, disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restricted building or grounds, knowing engaging in any act of physical violence against a person or property in any restricted building or grounds, and willfully injuring or committing any depredation against any property of the United States.

This is a litmus test. If they can indict the ham sandwich that was 6 Jan, then they can criminalize any behavior they want and prosecute without due process or even the judicial branch.

Pray for this gentleman. I doubt he’ll be campaigning anytime soon.

I don’t think a misdemeanor will disqualify him to run for Governor. Especially a political charge. I think it will only make the populace more pissed because they know that Witmer is pulling the strings.

They’ll just throw him in the gulag for over a year without bail, hearing or trial.

A disorderly conduct charge from a political protest, in federal court, of a major candidate before an election.

I GUARANTEE you the Democrat governor had a hand in this. And can you imagine the scumbag leftists that must be running the FBI at this point.

Arresting candidates before elections to destroy the opposition.

Next they’ll incite people to attack Supreme Court Justices. Oh.

Schumer should be in jail before this republican gets arrested.

This is such blatant political harassment. I don’t live in Michigan and I don’t know a thing about him, and if I did, possibly I wouldn’t even vote for him.

But arresting him on flimsy charges because the Party doesn’t like him is something I thought only Communist or fascist countries did…oh, wait…

REPUBLICANS should never have accepted you could treat non violent political protestors this way, even at their (and our) sacred Capitol.

They are fools and cowards and always have been.

Well (to quote Ronaldo Magnus), we all have to admit Ryan Kelley is trying to overthrow the Natural Order by running against Princess Whitmer.
Therefore, the Staci had to be called in.

There’s nothing sacred about the US Capitol. We are a nation of laws not of men. The monuments we place are the property of the people of the United States. Indicting someone for being a public place after law enforcement basically let them in is legal malpractice of the highest form.

You gonna go to bat for this fella? He gave the left an inch and guess what they did? He’s guilty in the court of public opinion-it’s all that matters to the MSM. .

Our enemies will riot over George Floyd a waste of human skin. We shouldn’t go there.
