On Wednesday, House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-MD) pushed back against the notion that arming teachers would help prevent future mass school shootings.
“CNN Newsroom” host Jim Sciutto asked Hoyer about the value of the House passing symbolic gun legislation, knowing there would not be enough support in the Senate to get it passed into law.

Personal government provided body guards won’t make Steny Hoyer any safer.....
No? It won’t? Then having armed guards and turning private homes of important people won’t make,them safer either by that dumb logic.
OF COURSE IT WILL MAKE THEM SAFER! Stop the ignorance. If celebrities and such get to be guarded by armed guards, the so too should school kids! School kids are our future and shoukd be protected as best as possible. Why do self important people,feel they are more precious and important and in need of private security than future Generations are?

I believe it will. Getting rid of democrats and their constant drumbeat of hate for everyone who doesn’t submit to their lunacy would also be helpful.
I don’t think anyone on this thread has spent ANY time at all around teachers. Hate to say it, but old Steny is right.
In other words, we’re not really interested in the safety of your children, we just use that as an excuse.
There was one in Pearl, MS. The assistant principal was in the National Guard, and he went to his vehicle and got his weapon out and stopped the shooter if I recall correctly.
Rats are NOT interested in disarming nutcase murderers…they are interested in disarming all citizens…you and me…
Hoyer doesnt mind the secret service and capitol police armed with guns as long as it protects their a@@es
