I kept checking the Lake Hood cam today, hoping to see raindrops on the lens. No dice though it sure looks like it could unleash at any time. Y’all need it bad before fires start breaking out.

It’s much lighter now because there’s a lot of gray mixed in. LOL

After all the years this place has been farmed, the soil is VERY good due to fertilizers - - especially the poo. Ick! Everything planted here looks healthy and beautiful.

Well, thank goodness for the rain that washes the poo smell out of the air. Everything there grows better than anything does here.

It got up to 104 today. Shy of the 107 predicted, but too hot to go out in.

I’d hazard a guess that things grow better here than they do there because we get rain. Not much of that in the desert. LOL

Glad we don’t have your heat! It was around 87 this afternoon and stifling due to the humidity. A thunderstorm blew through and some showers afterwards and cooled things off nicely. It’s chilly outside now because the air’s so wet. I didn’t stand out there very long watching the lightning bugs wake up.

SORRY ABOUT YOUR LACK OF RAIN. DESERT LIVING DOES THAT.

As for my high score so far, I should be high score, after pad and pencil, and 14 tries! Really ticked me off that I got 5 on my first try, then 4 on my second...that’s when I got the pencil and paper!!! Then scored 3!...but I persevered!!!

I was pretty sure I was gonna get 10! Then the point on the pencil broke!

It’s always somethin’...
