Scarborough: ‘If You Really Love America,’ Believe in Democracy ‘You Want to Know What Happened on January 6’

MSNBC “Morning Joe” host Joe Scarborough on Tuesday reacted to the GOP pushback to the upcoming January 6 primetime hearings.

Scarborough argued that Republicans like Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) were “trying to distract” from the hearings in their criticism of the televised hearings. He advised that “if you really love America” and “believe in American democracy,” then “you want to know what happened on January 6.”

I can tell you what happened. A handful of over zealous patriots from the Right and a bunch of whacked out trouble making Antifa type instigators from the Left, ginned up some true patriotic Americans into a mob mentality that any sociologist would say would have been easy to do and these Patriots trespassed and many were invited in.

There was no coup, no stopping an election, no government overthrow no armed invasion, in short, no big deal.

You're right. A few broken windows a damaged door, NO Fires, No spray painting, NO serious damage. No theft. No vandalism. Still, it shouldn't have happened - but it wasn't an insurrection. No one believes the best armed citizens in the world would fight an insurrection with flag poles as their choice of weapons.
