Thank you for the update.
Very frustrating. This is why I do all I can to stay away from the medical bureaucracy. I pretty much lost all faith in the medical profession after Covid.
Prayers for Jim, I know the dangers of pressure sores, because. my wife is a paraplegic. The more active you are, the more you are at risk of them. It is a no win situation.

Storm the breaches! Raise a ruckus! Demand he be given his cell phone or have one smuggled in [a burner if necessary]. Have Chris call the doctor’s personal office instead!
Someone needs to be with Jim as much as possible. The one there is his guardian angel at this time and are his eyes and ears. Make sure he has plenty of water and is having his position changed often so his sores don’t get worse.
Easy for me to say from Texas, but he needs someone strong-willed there to demand they help him and not harm him. I am VERY worried!

Beyond evil what these CA (and, possibly other states, still?) are doing to their hospitalized.
When I had a very ill family member in the hospital, at the beginning of the year, I was able to mask up and go right to their room. Two visitors, at a time, limit.
I could take phone charger, books, slippers, etc. We kept a spiral notebook, on their table, for doc questions, reminders, updates, etc.
Prayers continuing...for this situation (JR, family, all).

Get the nurse’s station number and ask to talk to his nurse, and floor nurse.
Also, call and email the attending doc...at their practice.
Thanks for keeping us updated. The hospital situation is very frustrating, hopefully a lawyer will help.

This is insane.
I don’t know what kind of Covid rules are still being enforced in California, but everywhere else at least One family member is allowed for a timed visit.
Why doesn’t he have his phone? Tell Chris to make sure and bring the phone’s charger too.
Is there a room phone?
I wish we could. Then he’d be guaranteed good health and we’d make sure of it!
California is only interested in criminals and rioters. And making up new socialist rules for the people who stay there.
Seems like this is one of those times that being in California is biting him (and thus, us) in the butt.
