New York Gov. Kathy Hochul (D) joined with state assembly leaders to announce ten new gun control bills, including a new minimum age and licensing requirement for the purchase of a “semiautomatic rifle.”
On May 31, 2022, Hochul tweeted, “New York already has some of the toughest gun laws in the country — but there’s more work to do to keep New Yorkers safe. We are going to strengthen gun laws, give law enforcement tools to prevent crime, & stop the spread of dangerous weapons.”

Because its not about stopping crime.
The blunderbuss was quite deadly at short range.
It was found that the barrel doesn’t have to be flared out.
[[Looking forward to what the Supreme Court is speculated to do regarding New York’s firearms laws.]]
They didn’t do anything about the unconstitutional ‘safe act’
The V. Putin Arms Export Company will be pleased to service all anti-Biden needs.
From a 2012 press release
"I am honored to receive the endorsement of the National Rifle Association, an organization that represents thousands of Western New York sportsmen," Hochul said. "As a county clerk, I was a staunch advocate for sportsmen, and I have carried through on my commitment to protect their rights in Congress."
"Kathy Hochul has a proven record of defending the Second Amendment," said Chris W. Cox, chairman of NRA-PVF. "Because of her strong support of our rights, Hochul has earned an 'A' rating and endorsement from the NRA-PVF."
Just proves that nearly all politicians are media and political whores.
we used Remington 870’s for deck guns
Supreme Court refuses to hear challenge to New York’s SAFE Act
...agree.....!! her comments just show how totally ignorant she and here left-wing fellow travelers are about firearms in general and semi-automatic firearms in particular... we have a similar problem here in The Lone Star State whenever this drooling idiot “Beto” O’Rourke opens his yap about taking our AR-15s “and other weapons of war....”....he must think an AR-15 platform is somehow similar to a German Gewher-43 or someting....
A couple of government control bills wouldn’t hurt.
FUKH
I suspect when they cannot define an AR-15, or an Assault Rifle, they will go to generic semi-automatic.
The Blunderbuss’ barrel opening was flared to make it convenient to load whatever was at hand for ammo. eg. rocks, nails, broken glass, or debris of any kind. Strange, but true!
As per president Brandon a 9 mm will blow your lungs out
This always pisses me off when the NRA gives a favorable rating to a 'rat. If it ever comes down to a vote to take away our guns, the A-rated 'rats will join the other gun-grabbers in an instant.
Same story for Silly Gilly Gillibrand. Must be something in the NY water.
Like Ruger 10/22 ?
Chalk it up to pure politics. Local Dem candidates support their constituency, State or Federal Dems worship at the alter of Leftist politics.
she can’t understand normal thinking.
A deranged individual can kill a couple of dozen individuals with an AR-15, it is semi-automatic and thus not an assault weapon. A deranged government can kill millions, as did NAZI Germany, Communist Russia with Stalin, Red China with Mao, Communist North Korea, Communist Cambodia etc. That is why we have the second amendment.
When leftists gain control they always take away the citizens guns. It is about making their tyranny secure. The far left in this nation are no different.
Violent crime in NYC is up about 30%. When the morons in Albany passed the “no bail” for 200 types of felonies, crime escalated. Add that to the asinine SAFE Act which is a damn joke, and forcing the local municipalities to separate criminals who are 16-18 from the regular prison population (which cost a fortune to comply with) and you get what we have now. Absolutely anarchy.
New York is done. Congratulations all you little angry leftists, you are driving all of the producers out the state. You will be left with the third world nation filth that can now vote without being citizens and who exist on welfare.
