A woman who dubbed herself a “professional booster” after she was nabbed for shoplifting earlier this year has been arrested again — for allegedly robbing the same Manhattan drug store 10 times, police said.
Michelle Mckelley, 42, now has 108 arrests under her belt following her latest bust Wednesday, when she was charged with 10 separate petty larcenies from the Rite Aid at Second Avenue and East 96th Street, cops and a police source said.
“She has 108 arrests!” the Manhattan cop exclaimed. “What are they waiting for 200 arrests to hold her? When does it stop? It’s making a mockery of the system.”
A Manhattan Criminal Court judge opted to release Mckelley late Thursday night after she pleaded guilty to one count of petit larceny and three counts of disorderly conduct. The career shoplifter must complete five sessions of a program for recidivist offenders or she’ll risk a 90-jaily sentence, Judge Lumarie Maldonado-Cruz said.

Her arrest for the Rite Aid spree came three days after she was nabbed for stealing from a Target on Columbus Avenue and 100th Street on Sunday.
On that visit, she is accused of stealing four containers of Tide Pods, two Sun Squad backpacks, one package of Chips Ahoy, four Febreze air fresheners and six Glade air fresheners for a total value of $139, according to police.
A Manhattan judge freed her on supervised release.

“I’m a professional booster. Y’all are stopping my hustle,” the serial shoplifter allegedly told officers, according to prosecutors.
Speaking to The Post after her arraignment — where she was released — Mckelley said, “I don’t call it stealing, I call it professional boosting.”
Most of her arrests were for petit larceny, a misdemeanor that is not eligible for monetary bail under state law.

And also a toaster.
Being arrested in NY or CA these days seems more like an adult “time-out”
NYC is a joke
It’s probably how obuma thinks of himself.
Hussein did speak with pride of how he would steal ice cream from his employer and give it to his friends.
Guinness Book of World Records?
It isn't "making a mockery of the system". That has already come and gone...the LEOs know it, and the criminals know it.

I taught for many years at an urban high school. And the term “boosting” was quite common. Students used it exactly the way Mckelley used it.
Yes, I tried to change some minds about that. I argued that boosting equaled stealing. They were two different words meaning the exact same thing.
No, I was told. We boost things because the greedy store owners overcharge for the items. So we are just getting back at them. (I’m not kidding here.)
I don’t think any of them really believed that. It was just a convenient cover.
I watched a woman stuff steaks up under her child’s dress and then walk out of the grocery store.
That’s a nice wholesome bit of parenting, right?
If you got caught 108 times, can you really call yourself a professional?
Whenever I shop these days, I always feel like a sucker by standing in line to pay for it while apparently everybody else is just taking what they want and walking out the door.
Why are they arresting him? Shoplifting isn’t a crime in most liberal cities anymore.
Surprise, surprise, surprise. Race of professional victims.
The dems set it up this way. They send a very clear message in 2020 that certain hate-America elements would be allowed and encouraged to steal from those evil people who work for a living or run stores.
The message was received, and many stores are closing because the dems’ professional criminals are stealing from them.
This was planned and implemented by democrats.
My lifetime experience is that people do what they want to do.
Then they use language to justify it.

You have hit upon a very important point. When laws are not enforced, criminals run wild. That’s obvious. But as you noted, good folks become demoralized. This slowly be surely ruins a society.
As a side note, I live in a solid middle-class neighborhood. On my street there were only two flags out for Memorial Day, mine and one other. My neighbors aren’t communists. My best guess is that they have become demoralized by all the unrelenting bad news.
