Wednesday on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT) responded to his colleagues in the Senate and others accusing him of “politicizing” the tragic mass shooting at an elementary school in Uvalde, TX, which has reportedly left 19 children dead.
Murphy, who in an interview the night before pushed for gun control in the wake of the shooting, pushed back against the notion that he was “supposed to shut up and not talk about changing laws” following shootings. He argued that not politicizing the shootings was “a fiction created by the gun industry.”

He should bring up legislation. But he won’t. It’s much easier to bitch about the opposition and rile up his base to be even more rabid. Same old tricks. Not working so much anymore.
Shut up, Chrissie, you little cuck.
Keep talking gun control. Might as well cut your dim throat some more. It’s a loser campaign issue.
We don’t “accept” outlaw, corrupt, liberal, big-mouth politicians either....so STFU and ESAD.
yep, no solutions, just a blame game.
Nothing shows the utter cynicism of politicians better than their calling for “gun control” after a mass shooting which they know accomplishes nothing.
It’s too bad the founders did not define “shall not be infringed” in the Constitution...../s
And I don’t accept the fact that I am not allowed to p[point out that the guntrans was probably made insane by democrat support of perversity.
All the usual Grave Dancers are out and shouting with the souls of children under foot. Shameless and disgusting.
He’s from the communist state of CT, they love gun control there.
When I was young senseless mass murders seldom happened in America. When it did it was bigger news, like the University of Texas Tower massacre. Now it happens multiple times per year.
Something changed. It wasn’t guns. We had the same firearm rights that we have now, and more. You could see guns in the back windows of pickup trucks everywhere.
The difference lies in the people this society has started ignoring. Young men have been abandoned and set adrift, first by their fathers, and then by the social institutions which are supposed to train them and to keep them in line.
These children were not killed by a gun. They were killed by a society which has chosen to devalue and ignore young men.
Each time these disgusting cretins make gun control hay of a mass shooting it finds a less receptive audience. People are on to them.
He never STFU! It sure would be nice if he did though.
It’s extremely important to confiscate all privately-owned guns before the establishment of permanent marshal law.
The rulers must eliminate the citizenry’s ability to resist.
If you DON’T think that’s the real long-term purpose, then enjoy your chains.
ANY means necessary will be used to achieve this.
There’s common sense gun control, and then there’s gun confiscation. The Left wants the latter. They want all our guns, so they can do to us whatever they want. That’s the real agenda here.
Remember how much information came out almost instantly about the Buffalo shooter? Why are we hearing nothing about the Uvalde shooter? What are they hiding?
Lol! And the ones telling him to “Shut up” isn’t our side, it’s red state democrats in tough enough races already that know if they are forced to vote for Gun Control, it would be political suicide in November.
A democrat that does not talk about gun control, impossible!
You’re a Democrat - you NEVER shut up about talking about gun control and before the families have even had time to mourn, before the facts have even come out you politicize the entire to further your ideological quests and push laws to defray our rights that have NOTHING to do with the case.
Fact - he passed a background check
Fact - he bought the guns from a registered and licensed gun store.
So Chuckie Schumers bill which increases background checks and bans online sales would not have prevented this!
It’s knee jerk, emotionalist responses.
I demand better of my government representation!
