CNN anchor Jake Tapper intervened on Monday after one of President Biden’s top economic advisers sought to blame the record surge in gas prices on Russian President Vladimir Putin’s decision to invade Ukraine.
The exchange occurred after Tapper pressed White House National Economic Council Director Brian Deese for answers on how long Americans will face surging gas prices.
The national average for a gallon of gas hit a record $4.598 per gallon on Tuesday, according to AAA.

Used to be “newsmen” would report the news. Not decide what will or won’t be heard by the public.

Deese responded by saying the Biden administration is “doing everything we can to try to bring those prices down.”"Short of doing anything that would actually help, we are doing everything we can"

The illegitimate Biden regime is doing all it can, to have all energy prices as high as they can possibly go.

The illegitimate Biden regime is doing all it can, to have all energy prices as high as they can possibly go. They don't seem worried about any political consequences, for some reason.

Crazy stuff happening. I would never have imagined the United States suffering a shortage of baby food at a national level. Regional, yes, based on circumstances, but country-wide?
This administration should be ashamed of themselves but they are not capable of such honest introspection.

Tapper has more sense than some Freepers here.

Could it be that some in the pro-biden news junket are beginning to hold him accountable for the terrible economy?

Deese responded by saying the Biden administration is “doing everything we can to try to bring those prices down.”
That's an example of "believe the opposite and you'll be on the right track".

The informed read past the click-bait headline.

I guess you didn’t read the article. Tapper actually challenged the WH spokesman, not very aggressively, but he did oppose him. If Biden is losing CNN...
“As you know, this all emanates from President Putin’s decision to invade Ukraine,” Deese said.
“Not all of it,” Tapper interjected, cutting off Deese mid-sentence. “Not all of it. Some of it, yes.”

It’s hard to keep up with their lies. But it’s probably someone from the list below:
Putin
Hoarders
Greedy companies
Hicks who won’t switch to electric vehicles

They’re not worried about political consequences, because they plan for the January 6th committee to indict President Trump this summer.
Plus, even if we win big in November, the Democrats have already gotten the candy jar of goodies in the 1.9 Trillion ‘Infrastructure’ bill and others. We can’t get that back.

If Tapper has the answers then there’s need for him to have guests.

Deese responded by saying the Biden administration is “doing everything we can to try to bring those prices down.”
Well, Deese is telling the truth, because, the administration is doing everything they can try, which is to say that the climate-change agenda won't let them try anything but talk and blame others. So, they're trying to do nothing, which Biden admitted in the last couple of days. The climate-change agenda is the ONLY REASON that fuel prices are so high, and the agenda is to kill all fossil=fuels.
Americans are being forced to sacrifice in order for the climate-change agenda to get implemented. With the killing of fossil=fuels, the American economy is also being killed, but, it's to save the planet (which is nothing more than BS).
