The Archbishop has the authority to fire the priest who disobeyed his orders.
I’m not Catholic so I don’t really have a dog in this hunt, but if they made the decision that she’s not eligible then she’s not eligible. Low level priests who defy orders are in opposition to their leaders. Fire them today.

Archbishop Cordileone, her local ordinary, seems to have made a point about this action being pastoral, not political.
It’s really just a shot across the bow (as in, the bow, or the front end, of a ship).
[seamlessly switches analogies...] The ball is now in the House Speaker’s court.
If she responds to the rebuke by adding fuel to the fire, such as saying something like, I don’t care what the Catholic Church says, I’m right and the Church is wrong, she will likely find herself on the receiving end of a clear excommunicatory declaration by that same local ordinary.

The hardest thing for Nancy Pelosi to accept is that she will be held accountable for her actions, just like you or just like me. God provides perfect justice. I don’t know what that will be in her case, but I promise you, like He knows my heart, like He knows your heart, she cannot manipulate, bargain, lie, or hold herself to a different standard. In there somewhere, may be her downfall.
You know what I think, when we reach heaven, the reality of those there and those absent will provide a lot of surprises.
