Skip to comments.Behar: Why Is Pro-Choice Pelosi Banned from Communion? Pro-Death Penalty Abbott Is Not

Joy Behar told her co-hosts Monday on ABC’s “The View” that the archbishop of San Francisco is wrong for banning Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) from receiving communion because of her stance on abortion but not banning Gov. Greg Abbott (R-TX) for being pro-death penalty.
Behar said, “Pope Francis is not pro-choice, but he is also against capital punishment. I don’t see anybody denying, what’s his name, Abbott — Governor Abbott in Texas, who is the Catholic, and he’s executed many people. I don’t see him seeing he can’t receive communion. So the hypocrisy is in the church too. It also depends on each archdiocese. This is why Nancy could get communion in Georgetown because that particular archdiocese was ok with it. So everybody is different.”

It’s because you’re an idiot, Joy.
Life for the innocent.
Death for the guilty.
I’ll take a stab at it, joyless: Because babies are innocent and called out in the Bible as deserving protection, whereas mass murderers are guilty and called out in the Bible as deserving punishment.
3. Not all moral issues have the same moral weight as abortion and euthanasia. For example, if a Catholic were to be at odds with the Holy Father on the application of capital punishment or on the decision to wage war, he would not for that reason be considered unworthy to present himself to receive Holy Communion. While the Church exhorts civil authorities to seek peace, not war, and to exercise discretion and mercy in imposing punishment on criminals, it may still be permissible to take up arms to repel an aggressor or to have recourse to capital punishment. There may be a legitimate diversity of opinion even among Catholics about waging war and applying the death penalty, but not however with regard to abortion and euthanasia.
How many appeals did the 60+ Million babies get, Joy?
Let’s see, Joy...
One is pro-the-murder-of-the-innocents...
And the other is pro-getting-rid-of-the-murderers.
In both cases, there are evil people involved: the pro-abortion crowd, and the murdering.
Abbott is getting rid of the murderers. and Pelosi is getting rid of the innocents.
Does this woman even read the Bible???
RE: Behar’s “point.”
Logical Fallacies are their stock in trade. False equivalency rears its pinhead again.
I am so glad leftists no longer hiding their insanity, this garbage needs to be dealt with if we are to survive as a nation.
A murderer has taken a life justifying their capital punishment. An unborn baby is totally innocent and dependent on the nurture and goodwill of its mother, yet the mother orders that her own innocent child be killed.
So in Joy’s twisted mind the capital punishment of a murderer and the abortion of an innocent child are moral equivalents???
Joy’s head is so empty it just has to rattle when she walks!!!! The level of callous ignorance is astonishing!!!!!
Abortion is and always will be the intentional killing of the innocent with no chance of appeal, review or other judicial remedy and is always a mortal sin.
The death penalty for certain convicted criminals is consistent with Scripture.
For he is God's minister to thee, for good. But if thou do that which is evil, fear: for he beareth not the sword in vain. For he is God's minister: an avenger to execute wrath upon him that doth evil.
Ask ignorant questions, win stupid prizes.
I can WHY her husband dated her for over 30 years before getting married.
she just makes stuff up, because if she was really this stupid she would not be alive!!!
She’s fork -in -the -toaster stupid
listen stooopid... it says shalt not MURDER
That old harlot can’t even begin to understand the difference.
