A leading figure in the Biden administration has backed a recovery programme for Ukraine in the style of the Marshall plan, which helped rebuild Europe after the second world war.
Pete Buttigieg, the US transportation secretary, said there was plenty of political will at home and internationally towards cooperating in long-term reconstruction efforts including to buttress existing infrastructure in Ukraine.

The country's broke, over run with illegals and now we have to pay for Ukraine to be rebuilt? How about the rest of Europe? Do they need new roads? Buildings? Baby formula?
The 450 billion in seized reserves is a nice start.
Sell the yachts and use the proceeds to help.
Put a tariff on all Russian imports world wide to help.
And somehow, I think Russia should provide lumber from their forests to help rebuild. Not sure how to make that happen. Perhaps a lowered tariff or sanctions depending on how much lumber Russia provides.
