Meanwhile, California and Arizona cities are going to die of thirst as the drought dries up their water.

The normal desert condition is replacing the 100 year wet anomaly

And this was the grid that was going to support a 100% electric car America, eh? Those of us who know EE have laughed amongst ourselves knowing that there were N problems with the DemocRAT’s dream of eliminating IC engines in a decade or so without thinking the thing through. Grid, batteries, charging stations, disposal of the windmills, damage to environment from rare materials mining, on and on.

Always remember that STEM students call their failing classmates future politicians and artists.

More self-inflicted injury to the nation. You cannot have electric-powered vehicles without a reliable and plentiful electricity generation and distribution system in place.

And battery-powered electric vehicles are a dead end. There are not enough in available resources to build all those vehicles with batteries and battery charging systems. If it is at all possible, going fully to fuel cells or a compact on-board electric generation system, is the only means by which electric vehicles finally gain favor.

Remember all the coal plants that were converted to natural gas?

Per another article, we’re now sending coal to Europe to help them (since they refuse to keep buying their coal from Russia) and with that, our coal plants are not getting what they need. So, you’ll know who to thank if the lights go out.

So the upshot is power (or the resources to generate it) are being diverted from the red states in the Midwest to blue states? Nah, they would never do THAT...

That was back before diversity made us so strong.

It takes a lot of energy to keep a 2-ton EV moving. If only a few hundred people have those, that’s not a problem. But if they ever really catch on we are all going to suffer. That is, until we build more nuclear plants.

You may not remember the words base load, but that was what made electricity reliable. Base load describes the difference between insanity, and reality. Base load is the power production necessary to provide electricity to the grid 24 seven 365 days of the year for virtually any foreseeable circumstance. In other words there is a vast amount of power to assist the grid in nearly any circumstance that might hinder the 24 seven 365 days a year unlimited power use.

Until the day of radical insanity brought to you by the wind and solar morons influencing the power producers. The EPA an unelected body of morons clueless to the many decades of what it takes to support a truly reliable electric grid are the ones responsible for the insanity, in cahoots with compliant State Governments unwilling to push back against the insanity. Coal could be a saving source. The coal industry has literally been shuttered in a very short period of time just as the coal fired power plants have been razed to the ground years before necessary. What moron thinks that was a great idea???

Here we are and not so suddenly. When does the push back begin????????????

With sincere apologies to less dangerous morons and busy bodies lurking in the background.

The grid wasn’t designed for and can’t support electrical vehicles. Unplug them. The world is run by morons.

The greenies who think EVs are the future will have a rude awakening when there is no organic tofu on the shelves of the Whole Foods. American agriculture runs on diesel fuel and there are not even prototypes of practical electric tractors, combines and heavy haul trucks that are essential to planting, harvesting and transporting grain to markets. Killing off diesel fuel is a sure means of producing widespread famine.
