Sorry, it’s not the Exxon by DCA entrance... Potomac Yards, a couple miles down. They’d have to go through more than a few lights to get to a bridge from there. Dumbass is as dumbass does.
If you watch the video of the story from local news, it’s all about the kid getting killed, no concern whatsoever for a man whose life was threatened over a car and bravely defended both.
I escaped from behind the Pink Curtain of the People’s Democratic Republic of California and moved to Tennessee a year ago. The GIFT that keeps on giving. There is nothing more fun than munching on popcorn while watching the collapse of Communist occupied California. LOL. Too much fun.
Come to east Tennessee. We will welcome you with open arms. People are friendly here and drivers are generally well mannered and polite.
No mother should have to bury her child just because he tried to carjack someone at gunpoint.
“How else he gon’ gets he money?”
Just think of all the crimes prevented by his death.
The defender did the community a favor.
Seems to me that it takes a certain amount of ‘thinking’ to pull off a carjacking...
This is an extremely sad situation. Two of the perps got away clean without a single gunshot injury. The victim needed more training and firepower to have brought this to a happy ending.
I’m sure that is sarcasm—right?

What the heck do “they” do with a carjacked car? It’s an awful lot of risk just to joyride around town for a couple hours.
Nah. Decapitate the organization and the peons flee.
He chose the right target, neutralized it and rightly figured the small fry wouldn’t stick around. Maybe with their older buddy pushing up daisies they’ll have strong enough impetus to make better choices, themselves.
I imagine it’s almost impossible to carjack someone at gun point without thinking.
“Jordan Poteat” - now dead
I do feel a bit sorry for his mom, as she at least gave him a name that wouldn’t automatically result in his resume’ being sent into the trash.
I know. Just another example of how members of a certain cultural group just can't get a fair shake no matter what they do.
He died because his Momma and Daddy (I presume absent most of his life) because they didn't raise him right. Don't blame his friends, their Mommas and Daddies didn't raise them right either.
I suspect this wasn’t his first crime. He was thinking he would get away with this one just as he had the previous ones. Wrong think can kill you.
Those that are old enough may remember the “Scared Straight” social programs of the late 70s and early 80s, where ex-cons explained to teens what happened when you were arrested and put in prison. I believe there was even TV shows showing delinquent kids being put through those programs (one of the first reality shows).
Maybe we need a new reality show that represents what happens if you break into the “wrong damn rec room” where someone is prepared for the thugs at any and all times. It could be called “Dead Right There”, or “Scared Sh#tless”.
Siphon out the gas from the tank, $50.
Catalytic converter and exhaust system, $300.
Tires, $100 used
Not bad for 2 hours of work.
Sarcasm off.
As a mom, I would be devastated if my son died in this manner. I would question for the rest of my life how I failed to raise a proper citizen. Could he have turned his life around? Only God knows.
Stupid thing to do, stupid way to die. Perhaps his death will serve as a cautionary example for the other three and set them on the right path.
