The Pennsylvania GOP Senate primary has yet to be decided, and the final result may come down to tens of thousands of outstanding mail-in ballots that won’t be counted until Wednesday.
Currently, businessman Dave McCormick leads Trump-endorsed TV doctor Mehmet Oz by about 1,700 votes, well within the margin for a mandatory recount.
Upstart candidate Kathy Barnette, who appeared to be gaining ground on her competitors early in the night, is currently at 24.7%
Just before midnight local time, McCormick told supporters, “We had a pretty good day today. I want to thank you all so much for your support for what’s happened across Pennsylvania today. There’s been a huge outpouring of support. We knew it, we felt it on the ground, we knew it was working, we knew our message to take back this country was resonating in Pennsylvania and they showed it today and we’re so incredibly grateful.”
He thanked supporters and predicted that he will prevail in the race. “Right now, we have tens of thousands of mail-in ballots that have not been counted, that are going to need to be counted tomorrow, and so that, unfortunately, we’re not going to have resolution tonight. But we can see the path ahead, we can see victory ahead, and it’s all because of you.”
“We’re gonna take back this country. We’re going to take back this state,” he declared.
Speaking to supporters, Oz credited Trump and Sean Hannity for his success in the race and thanked both men for their support. He predicted that he will be the next senator from Pennsylvania.
The winner of the GOP primary will face progressive John Fetterman in November.

Temporarily filling-in for lightman, while he's smashing PA's demonKKKrat voting poll fraud, on Tuesday & Wednesday.
the problem with the absentee and mailed ballots is that the printing company printed the ballots with a wrong code, and now they have to be corrected by hand before they can be re-run by the scanning machines.
How is it possible that it could happen? the ballot printed by the company that was approved and tested was replaced later with a different, incorrect ballot. Horrifying!
On a positive note, Republicans out polled Democrats by over 200,000.
That should bode well in the general election.
In my neck of NC, Dems and Pubbies ran neck and neck. My county’s turnout was only 20% and the rough number of votes were pretty even.
I know off season primaries are poorly attended...mine was spiced up with a school bond and a local tax question. They do that in hopes the die hard partisans will saddle the rest of the populace with debt...and it works.[School bonds always pass “for the children”...they will just have shiney new buildings to be dumbed down in...]
If there is a “big red wave” building, Pubbies better show the hell up.
Whether one concedes or not, is meaningless.
Yes, we know that, but so what? That’s not how elections work.
“Completely unacceptable to not have a result the night of the election.”
Absolutely. When I was in charge of elections in a major city the absentee ballots were incorporated with the day’s ballots and all counted (run through machines) together. No excuse for dragging it out until the next day.
Trump is purported to be the representative of the blue-collar people. He should be ashamed to be connected with this mindset.
“Can you tell us why McCormick is preferable?”
He isn’t a Muslim.
He actually lives in Pennsylvania and not NJ.
He’s an American citizen, and not half of a citizen.
I’m not sure where he stands on LGBQ, transgender, etc., but Oz is for those things.
“I guess my big question right now is WHO is going to open and count the mail-in ballots?”
Election officials should open absentee ballots during the 12 hours of Election Day. Then they should be mixed with the in-person ballots for counting after polls close.
It’s not hard. That’s how we did it.
Thanks.
I think some places just wait to open them if they see they would make a difference in terms of outcome.
Whoever wins is going to be tainted by the fact that the decision was determined by fraudulent mail in ballots.
“I think some places just wait to open them if they see they would make a difference in terms of outcome.”
Maybe. We never did that, but every state does things differently.
The point is that, more people voted AGAINST the top two than voted FOR THEM!..................
