The Pennsylvania GOP Senate primary has yet to be decided, and the final result may come down to tens of thousands of outstanding mail-in ballots that won’t be counted until Wednesday.
Currently, businessman Dave McCormick leads Trump-endorsed TV doctor Mehmet Oz by about 1,700 votes, well within the margin for a mandatory recount.
Upstart candidate Kathy Barnette, who appeared to be gaining ground on her competitors early in the night, is currently at 24.7%
Just before midnight local time, McCormick told supporters, “We had a pretty good day today. I want to thank you all so much for your support for what’s happened across Pennsylvania today. There’s been a huge outpouring of support. We knew it, we felt it on the ground, we knew it was working, we knew our message to take back this country was resonating in Pennsylvania and they showed it today and we’re so incredibly grateful.”
He thanked supporters and predicted that he will prevail in the race. “Right now, we have tens of thousands of mail-in ballots that have not been counted, that are going to need to be counted tomorrow, and so that, unfortunately, we’re not going to have resolution tonight. But we can see the path ahead, we can see victory ahead, and it’s all because of you.”
“We’re gonna take back this country. We’re going to take back this state,” he declared.
Speaking to supporters, Oz credited Trump and Sean Hannity for his success in the race and thanked both men for their support. He predicted that he will be the next senator from Pennsylvania.
The winner of the GOP primary will face progressive John Fetterman in November.

No matter how the mail-in ballots come out, this will be close enough to trigger an automatic recount. It could be several days before a winner is declared.
America knows how to vote.
Which is why Deep State steals elections.
Looks like some of these states need to get the Commissioner of Elections of Bangladesh to come over here and run their elections.
Counting mail-in ballots before Election Day is a disaster. It gives partisan/crooked election officials a chance to send ballots back to voters to “fix” them and get them returned a second time before Election Day.
I’d rather not have a Muslim. The democrats have welcomed them. I don’t think we should. Sorry.
A recount? Great, now a democrat will win the republican nomination. /s
At least one of the major contenders in that race (Barnette) refused to endorse the winner of the primary if it wasn't her. Giving her supporters an opportunity to infiltrate someone else's primary night campaign event was not a good idea.
“Mail in Bull****”
Mail-in ballots should be received no later than the Tuesday election day. Anything received after...should be Schiff-canned.
Is ballot harvesting legal in Pennsylvania (as it is in California).
It would be at this point that the ballot harvesters are sent out (as they are in California). Entire elections have been flipped by Democrats - even weeks later - through this process.
I agree. All of these distortions of the voting process, allegedly to make voting “easier”, just create avenues for fraud. We don’t need to make voting easier, we need to make it more secure. There should only be ONE election DAY, and other than very limited, verified exceptions, ALL voting should take place in person.
I guess my big question right now is WHO is going to open and count the mail-in ballots? Will this be the Republican Party or will the Secretary of State’s respective county/borough elections offices count them?
I don’t trust the politics of either Oz or McCormick, but between those two, at least McCormick is a citizen of only the U.S.. And I’m honestly getting a bit tired of Trump’s endorsements.
The "losing" side then knows that they have to gin a bunch of fake ones up. And double their drop-box stuffing efforts.
Same in Jersey; it is useful to me because I work the polls on election day and my new (voting, not working) district location doesn't leave me time to go home for lunch after voting.
Same here. I voted early, so I could work as an election judge or alternate judge on election day. Starting in 2016 my county introduced a system of vote anywhere on election day. I tried it out. The great thing about that system is that it replaced a computer printout of hundreds or thousands of voters in a particular precinct with a terminal that can read the barcode on the back of a Texas driver's license or ID card. This allows any voter registered in the county to be verified. It's also much quicker than looking through a large bound printout.
Wasn’t mail-ins rejected from the military because they didn’t get there in time and I think that was because the military didn’t get them in time to mail back.
Anyone know anything about that?
I want to say it was when 0 was running. Maybe Cartoon.
McCrory also refuses to endorse Ted Budd. When Rino’s do it there’s no problem.,,,,,,
Wait to see who is ahead, then haul out the mail-in votes.
Happened in the Florida 2000 presidential election.
The democrap lawyers were literally high-fiving in court when they got the military ballots thrown out.
