Where in Wisconsin is this school???
Wokeism is a case in point. In my essay that triggered my suspension, “Woke Dysphoria at Concordia,” I describe wokeism as “a potent cocktail of Progressivism, Neo-Pragmatism, and Marxism,” an ideology that replaces Christ and biblical authority with an “alien politics.”
Folks,
We are all going to have to take a stand at some point. Choose this day...........................
I regret to point out an obvious conclusion: This administrator’s manner of responding to serious questions about my case is just what you would expect if my call for the regents and administration to repent of wokism is on target.
It is not a popular one though ...........................
Mequon,WI. North of Milwaukee. Missouri Synod Lutheran.
What my administration is doing to me—and, by extension what it is doing to my students, to my academic colleagues in every Concordia university and beyond—is being visited upon me contrary to the written procedures available to them, without reason, and without appeal to any legitimate authority, but purely on the basis of administrative power. They are doing it because they can.
They are doing it because they can. No one says NO.
Freedom is just another word for nothing left to lose. We don’t have much left to lose anymore, that makes us dangerous to them.
North of Milwaukee and south of Port Washington on the shore of Lake Michigan. Some mighty good fishing about a mile off shore from Concordia.
Rev Schulz:
Free Speech Is Tied to Free Consciences
The first level of academic freedom, insulation from political institutions, has everything to do with what we are as a religious institution. The exercise of our institutional academic freedom, a moral imperative, intersects with the exercise of our constitutional right of free exercise of religion, a legal right articulated in an authoritative American text, the First Amendment.
+++++++++++
The entire 1stA guarantees each US citizen “freedom of conscience.”
Pastor Schulz’s rights to Free Speech, Free Practice of Religion and Free Press have been NULLIFIED by CUW-Mequon.
Note that he \wrote\ an opinion.
Further more, CUW-Mequon is also violating THE call to Rev. Schulz.
The doctrine of the call, in this case, weighs heavily on all concerned.
According to the orthodox Lutheran doctrine (Book of Concord-1580), CUW-Mequon is NOT Rev. Schulz’s >employer<.
The call is for life and can only be altered or ended by God’s own action on the heart and conscience of the man who is called.
Full stop.
Read that again.
And, thus we come around -full circle- to the 1stA and “free conscience”.
Maybe he can get an adjunct at Judson.
This is blowing up in the Synod’s education system.
It will blow up the entire denomination if not settled appropriately.
The problem is the overbearing Federal government demanding that all schools that take fed money, including for student loans, must adhere to the Woke diversity, equity and inclusion stuff, which is largely opposed to Christian teachings. Woke is an entirely separate ideology.
Given that FedGov is also declaring by regulation that the states inject LGBTQ ideology into all public schools, teaching transcrap from kindergarten onward, every LCMS family with children in public school will be affected; soon there will be some brainwashed fellow insisting on using the women's room, or the girls' room at the local congregation level, with his family members expecting accommodation—unless the denomination develops a clear policy based on obvious scriptural precepts.
Concordia needs to take the Hillsdale route, and refuse gubmit money. It will be hard to do, but Jesus Christ is the reason to do so.
The article at the link provides another link to sign a petition in support of Rev. Schulz. It's on the upper right side of that page.
I agree, but here is the issue
There are not enough teachers being graduated in the LCMS system to staff the system.
We are fighting this at times in my school.
Also, it seems the LCMS is having a fight between woke feminists demanding we worship their private parts and orthodox Christian teaching, with the fems dragging their families out of the church.
What do you mean, worship their private parts? It doesn't go on in the local LCMS over here. In what way?
Leni....(LCMS)
I have seen a couple statements by Harrison (president of the LCMS) on this but i do t thing the final statement/findings have been issued
Of COURSE not!
It would mess up the defense in the lawsuit pending.
To be fair, it is not my personal parish.
But with the leak of the overturn of Roe, I know of several congregations that have a lot of the women demanding the LCMS take a pro choice stand. One in particular is losing families as they pull their kids from the school because “The LCMS hates women!”
Pastors are either walking back their public stances on gender issues, or quietly supporting them. The situation at Concordia is just the latest symptom IMO.
I see; I formerly went to an LCMS where most of the male choir members and some of their hags walked out when the pastor gave a tradition-affirming sermon after SCOTUS decided Obergefell (gay marriage). Good riddance. Same to the femnazis. Women are not meant to lead the entire congregation, as the Methodist debacle clearly demonstrated.
