The President of Finland, Sauli Niinistö has told a news conference in Helsinki that Russia's invasion of Ukraine "changed the picture" on the country's security.
In a message to Russia he said, "you caused this - look at the mirror".
Mr Niinistö was speaking after he signed a joined security pact with Boris Johnson.

The real reason the Baltic Chihuahuas are so shrill in their Russophobia is that they were in fact craven Nazi boot lickers during WW2 even to the point of rounding up jews for deportation. The fact their countries were freed from Nazism by Russia is an enduring humiliation. Hence the projection, the insane cancel culture, the statue toppling and the willingness to go without food or heat to virtue signal.

The Spanish Civil War of the mid-1930s had a huge influence on the sentiments of Eastern Europeans who were caught between the Soviets and the Nazis and were incapable of fighting either of them off. It was the Soviet-backed Republicans who sought to eradicate Spain’s Catholic religious and cultural roots in that conflict, and the Nationalists under Francisco who managed to successfully fought them off with the help of Germany.
Catholics in countries like Poland, Hungary and Lithuania took notice of that when it came time to choosing sides on the Eastern Front.

Finland and Sweden are not part of NATO today. In reality they are. All that is left is just the paperwork. If Russia attacked today, they would be part of a common defense.
There IS an interesting complication here, as Turkey is quite opposed to Sweden joining NATO, due to Sweden’s support for Kurdish PPK separatists in Turkey. (The USA, while generally supportive of the Kurds, designates the PPK as a terrorist organization.)
There are workarounds for NATO working efficiently with Finland and Sweden in warfare. If the Turks continue to be obstructive, they might find themselves with much less actual physical support if needed.
And is this one of those "Russian collusion" things?
