Certain parts of CA just need to fall into the ocean. It’s a good time for the Lord to make his presence known to the fine people of CA.

As if their power grid is just bursting with excess juice.

Anyone remember the rolling blackouts during the Gray Davis era? I’m sure this initiative will solve that....

I like induction cooking. As for normal electric coils,
no thanks.

As for gas, these people are in need of medical attention.

Hobble the United States while other nations do anything
they like, with no one complaining.

Reason for the plan: Nearly all of these mandatory electric appliances will be manufactured in China. So we’ve got that going for us, which is nice. /s

I think they intentionally want to choke off the power grid so they can start rationing/limiting electrical power.

I wish there were a filter here that would block all California "news". I already know the California "news" before it happens.

What is going to generate said electricity?

All electric appliances combined with electric cars should work out well.

Maybe the Santa Ana winds will cause a fire by conductors clapping and then burn up solar arrays…fingers crossed…

Or drive your EV.

The ONLY way this will work is if they immediately expedite five 1,000 MW nuclear plants. Even then, they won’t come online until it is too late.

All the good wind sites are consumed with windmills already. They will be erecting the monstrosities at secondary and tertiary sites. Get ready for zero beautiful vistas in California. If you want to see the spectacular unspoiled California scenery, better go see it now before it is buried in windmills.

California’s grid access should be reconfigured to permit ONLY so-called “green” generated electricity into distribution.

Electric heating is much less efficient than natural gas. The result will be that even more electricuty will be required. Good luck supplying it with just wind and solar
(and unicorn farts).

>> New homes built in California starting in 2026 need to be powered by all-electric furnaces, stoves <<

Well, thank God this is happening in a state with such a reliable electricity grid. California NEVER has brownouts, right?

Their plan, like New York’s plan, is no plan at all. They will rely on storage technology which doesn’t exist, depend on unaffordable metastasis of “renewable” energy sources, and have no idea how they would pay for all this nonsense.
