A Texas woman needed an abortion. Here’s how far California went to help her (barf alert)

Stephanie had been dating a man who had been a friend for a few years. They met at a restaurant during a Sunday lunch, and in retrospect, Stephanie wishes she’d kept him “in the friend zone.” As soon as she knew she was pregnant, she also knew he wasn’t someone she wanted to be in a long-term relationship with. He was never going to be the kind of partner she could count on...

Stephanie, 33, prayed about the pregnancy. She ran through her savings being off work. She thought about the bills a baby would bring, what it would mean for her kids, and for her own future. Then she decided to have an abortion.

***After the positive test, she went to a Texas clinic. She was only about six weeks pregnant, but they found a heartbeat and that was that. Suddenly the Texas law was about her, and her future narrowed down to panic and fear.

*** She said the clinic basically kicked her out. She was crying, and she went back inside to ask if they knew anyone who could help her. The answer was a hard no. Luckily, a friend persuaded her to call Planned Parenthood in Texas that day, and that clinic got her in touch with the Los Angeles office. She said she was thinking there was no way she could get to California, but her friend told her to make the call anyway, a last-ditch hope.

***The coordinator who handled her call got to work, Stephanie said. Planned Parenthood booked her flights between Texas and L.A. — 1,242 miles each way — and paid for them. They arranged transportation and a hotel — and paid for those, too. They even gave her money to pay for incidentals such as food.

So, because she had carnal knowledge with a man she's decided she doesn't want a "long term relationship with", the child has to pay with its life? This broad is a real pillar of virtue, isn't she?

Doesn’t sound like a profitable long-term business plan for Planned Parenthood.

“Abortion tourism coming to a state near you...”

California entrepreneurs will already be renting buildings right next to LAX. That’s how this state rolls.

And don’t be surprised if you see the California abortion industry donating to right to life groups in every other state. They see the end of Roe v Wade as a potential goldmine.

Sorry, California, you are not following God’s laws. God is the creator of that child, and you have no right to assist in killing it.

Every pregnancy is dangerous and comes with risk of death. Most pregnancies do irreversible changes or sometimes damage to the body.

Part of the rationale of the Roe decision is that an abortion up to a certain number of weeks is usually safer than carrying to full term and banning abortion essentially forces women to risk their lives and damage their bodies for an unborn child they don’t even want.

No woman needs an abortion unless continuing the pregnancy will put her life in jeopardy, such as a women with cancer who is on chemotherapy (which has a good chance of killing or disfiguring the baby anyway). But I have heard of many women who choose to sacrifice themselves and forego the chemotherapy because it may be the only chance they ever get of having a baby.

Her mistake was having sex with a man she would never consider as a father for a child.

Which state(s) do you believe will prohibit abortions if the mother’s life is in jeopardy?

My list follows:

I abhor abortion. It is not a federal issue but a state issue. I support California on this as it is their state and their abhorrent laws.

If you do not like our laws in Texas, move to California.

Not OTC, but almost as easy-you need a prescription for birth control pills-but that can be gotten with an online consultation-same online med providers that provide scrips for everything from Viagra to anti-depressants...

The rationale of Roe is that it’s always “in jeopardy” to carry to full term and early abortion is safer. With more advanced medicine, that is becoming less true.

The question becomes at what point is a pregnancy dangerous enough where abortion should be legal. 25% chance? 50% 90% 100%?

And sould you also consider damage and not only death?

Just flash them an “OK” sign and thank them for continuing the great eugenics works of Margret Sanger.

It will either confuse them or freak them out.
