How do you just slide down ? Lucky he didn’t fall off.
Were there no MEN on board willing to tackle this idiot, jeopardizing the lives of all on board?
They were taxiing to the gate at 4:30 am after landing.
So most everybody was probably just waking up.
And not sure how everybody’s life was in jeopardy?
Shut the door and keep moving.
That hat is a collectors item..
The slide should have deployed.
This person must have been sitting in the emergency row next to the door.
I cannot imagine passengers would standby as someone got up, went over to the door and opened it while the plane is still rolling.
But, many have forgotten the lessons of 9/11
[Some people just got off and walked to their cars. ]
I have this mental image of a guy standing on the wing of the crumpled aircraft, thinking, “I can see my car from here,” and simply jumping down and hoofing it to the parking lot.
Then everyone would be trapped if it failed. Bad design, should be failsafe.
That sounds like part of a song Bing Crosby and Bob Hope would sing as a duet, both dressed in Zoot suits and smoking filterless Lucky Strikes.
Honestly I kind of find this funny....
The calculus for doing anything is always, for a rational mind anyway...
Is my desire/need to do this worth the risk/reward/punishment...
Assuming this guy is rational and not suffering from meningitis or mental illness or drug induced behavior... this guy thought:
hey, I’d like to walk on the wing of a taxing jet and get out of this plane... well if I do that I will almost certainly get arrested.... yea, but it’s worth, let’s do this.
Indeed as the utes call it cool.
Premature ejection
I am going to stay on the ground. Airplanes are loaded with too many nut cases.
If this had been right after 9/11 I’d say ‘dry run’...
That door can be opened in two seconds.
His body. His choice.
He really had to pee
