Pope Francis appeared to partly blame the West for Russia's invasion of Ukraine in an interview published this week, suggesting that the "barking of NATO at Russia's door" may have forced Putin's hand.
Francis also condemned the weapons industry and said the "arms trade is a scandal" that "few oppose."

The way the Catholic Church handled the molestation scandals pushed me away from it. Electing this commie moron as Pope finished the job.
#56. Thanks for this material.
When the commie pope agrees with you, you can be sure you’ve made a wrong turn somewhere.
“But Russia must allow NATO weapon right on it’s border”
NATO weapons have been within range of Moscow and all major Russian cities for what, 6 decades now? All of the sudden this is some existential threat to Russia?
Give me a break.
Francis is becoming like Fauci - a fake authority on anything.
Threat has existed AWAY from Russian border so far.
Ukraine is not 90 miles away (like Cuba is from US), it is right smack on Russian border. Homo-erotic dancer Zelensky pushed for NATO membership too hard, and that pushed Putin over the top.
But I have no dog in that fight. I just do not want US to borrow more money to get involved in a foreign war. We have multi-TRILLION dollar budget deficits as far as the eye can see. Every bullet we send to Ukraine adds to national debt. Enough is enough of Neocon agenda!
“Threat has existed AWAY from Russian border so far.”
Which is completely immaterial and has been for decades and decades. We can “reach out and touch” anywhere in Russia with the push of a button, and they can do likewise. Which is why nobody would care if Russia wanted to put missiles in Cuba today, and it’s also why Russia hasn’t bothered to try and put missiles in Cuba or anywhere else close to us since that incident. It’s completely unnecessary. Russia is just pushing that obsolete argument because they don’t have a better one to justify aggressive expansion against neighbors who pose no possible threat to them.
I am guessing you never attended West Point or any other credible academy. Reason border enemy is of critical importance is tanks and ground armor can roll out quickly in large numbers before a credible counter-response can be mounted.
So? Sounds like a free choice on both sides to me...
So, we chose to put military pressure on Russia’s borders. Got it.
No, actually we did no such thing. Repeating bullshit doesn't make it true. You need to get the new message...it's not NATO anymore...today's excuse is "all Nazis all the time".
I think we did.
Sorry...still bullshit.
Very persuasive, lol.
Even a broken clock…
It's a waste of valuable time trying to persuade folks incapable of reason....

I love that orange hat guy! So honest
Thanks for this.
Geopolitics is not your strong suit.
