Republican Sen. Lisa Murkowski said on Tuesday that her "confidence" in the Supreme Court has been rocked after a leaked draft opinion suggests that the constitutional right to abortion would be overturned by conservative justices on the court — two of whom she voted to approve.
Murkowski, who is among the few Senate Republicans who support abortion rights, made the comments to reporters on Capitol Hill in the wake of the bombshell news of the draft opinion that shows the court is ready to overturn the landmark 1973 Supreme Court decision in Roe v. Wade.
The decision — if finalized — would throw out the constitutional right to an abortion.

I think this is all about revisiting the regime’s plans to “fix” the Supreme Court. Once the filibuster is scrapped, how many votes to tinker with the court? Instant manufactured outrage gives cover to these DC oligarchs to join with the Dems for fifteen justices.

This whole leak thing is pretty stupid. It says what we've always known...That it is a State Issue.
In the 1800s, 37 states had laws making abortion a crime. By 1900, ALL STATES had made abortion a crime.
In other words, it should have NEVER got to the USSC. The states had precedence and Roe v Wade ignored it. And Roe v Wade is NOT precedence.

“...The decision — if finalized — would throw out the constitutional right to an abortion.”
It would throw out the right (conjured up by SCOTUS out of thin air) only in those states which haven’t chosen to recognize such a right by legislative process. Some states have already enshrined the right to abortion in their own state constitutions.
But in several states, representatives elected by the people have not chosen to do so. That’s how Federalism is supposed to work.

Republicans need to embrace this. This is what distinguishes us from the amoral Leftists who have been killing people for their disgusting ideology for decades upon decades.

” throw out the constitutional right to an abortion.” Sorry to rain on Lisa’s parade, but no, it does not-it gives the decision to each state-and that state does what the majority of the voters want-just like it was before Roe v Wade-and that is where it should be-I’m sure there will be plenty of states that will cater to women who want to kill their unborn kid by allowing abortion...
Maybe Alaska’s voters will vote out the bitch at last...
