Barrel containing human remains discovered in Lake Mead

Authorities say a barrel carrying human remains has been discovered in Lake Mead.

Boaters spotted the barrel Sunday afternoon and the National Park Service was alerted.

The agency said in a statement rangers searched an area near Hemenway Harbor and found the barrel with skeletal remains. They are working with Las Vegas police.

According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, cops said

“We’re going to expand our time frame of the murder to the middle to late 1970s to early 80s,” he said Tuesday morning, citing the clothes and shoes the man was wearing.

Spencer said officers discovered the shoes the man was wearing were sold at Kmart and manufactured in the middle and late 1970s.

The lake dries because of a super drought and the dead are being exposed. People will be identified, perhaps some mitochondrial DNA will help..certain connections will be made, arrests made or perhaps other people start disappearing once certain others learn just what happened to their loved ones. How God’s judgment begins to be made manifest.
