I was at Hoover Dam not long ago. Lake Meade and the surrounding area is very low.

Las Vegas is 2.8 million people who have basically no reason to be there.

These folks think having heavily-watered green lawns, golf courses and swimming pools as if Vegas is a lush, tropical paradise, is deranged.

The reason they’re there is to bolster Rat voter rolls.

everything was dingy yellowThat's because dope addicts (aka "homeless) use lawns as a bathroom.

Many years ago there was a show on PBS that claimed the Colorado River system’s flow projections were erroneously High. This was due to annual rainfall measurements taken at an unusually rainy time In American history while the planning for its design was underway
If this was correct, the claim of ‘climate change’ being the Colorado River’s issue is downright bogus and misleading.

I would cut off all water from going to California.

The rainy season is over. Summer and heat is coming. The lake storage is gone. The river is low. More drought is coming
California has ordered urban yard watering to only once a week. Farmers irrigation has been cut. The truth is the water is gone. The normal condition of the climate that produced the deserts in southern California and Nevada (Las Vegas) has returned
Southern California as the desert it is, is doomed.

The low-level intake allows Las Vegas “to maintain access to its primary water supply in Lake Mead, even if water levels continue to decline due to ongoing drought and climate change conditions,” he said. They just couldn't resist could they.

Flying into McCarran airport you would think that Las Vegas is indeed a giant oasis in the middle of the desert. The amount of golf courses, swimming pools and lush lawns surrounding the strip is staggering.
Whenever we travel out there, we like to drive to the outskirts of town to see how much it has grown since our last trip. On the west side, they are practically into the foothills of the mountains in Red Rock Canyon now with the endless strip malls, Costcos, Home Depots, and other big box stores.
Hard to believe that just over a hundred years ago, all of this was nothing but just another remote desert in the Southwest.

Was there two weeks ago. Amazed at how low the water was. Many areas nothing more than a big, dry ditch. And yet, growth continues at a rapid pace.

Real-estate developers sold desert just as they sell lots in the flood plains. Gullible buyers always buy heedless of the risk.
Think “China Town”. They knew about the water problem from the very beginning

They can start big by shutting off water to golf courses.
Also, it’s April in the northern hemisphere. Most of the snow in the Rockies has yet to melt.
