These folks think having heavily-watered green lawns, golf courses and swimming pools as if Vegas is a lush, tropical paradise, is deranged.
Whenever we travel out there, we like to drive to the outskirts of town to see how much it has grown since our last trip. On the west side, they are practically into the foothills of the mountains in Red Rock Canyon now with the endless strip malls, Costcos, Home Depots, and other big box stores.
Hard to believe that just over a hundred years ago, all of this was nothing but just another remote desert in the Southwest.
