White House occupant Joe Biden, infamous for creepy behavior around children, is under fire after publicly claiming that children belong to teachers while they are at school. The bizarre comments came as parents and states across the nation work to restore parental rights and rein in government indoctrination and sexualization in public schools.
Speaking at a White House event honoring the 2022 national and state teachers of the year, Biden told the teachers that they are in charge — not parents. “You’ve heard me say it many times about our children, but it’s true: They’re all our children,” Biden said, echoing sentiments expressed by countless dictators over the last century.
Biden added that the reason the teachers present at the event were effective is because they understood that the children belong to them. “The reason you’re the teachers of the year is because you recognize that,” he told the assembled “educators” from across America. “They’re not somebody else’s children. They’re like yours when they’re in the classroom.”
Commenting on parental and legislative efforts to protect children from pornography and Marxist indoctrination, Biden lashed out at lawmakers, too. “There are too many politicians trying to score political points trying to ban books,” he said. “Did you ever think when you’d be teaching you’re going to be worried about book burnings and banning books all because it doesn’t fit somebody’s political agenda?”
Ironically, the same people accusing conservatives against fringe leftwing propaganda and pornography in the classroom of wanting to “ban” books are those who shriek loudest when Christians suggest that the Bible is a crucial part of any legitimate education. In the world of the education establishment, book bans are only bad if the books being banned are aimed at grooming, dividing, confusing, or brainwashing kids.

The chief problem is that public schools stand legally in loco parentis and that basically stacks the odds in favor of the house. Parents - wittingly or not - have handed their kids over to the state during school. The state - wittingly - runs with that power.
The state goes with the flow...society was ok with corporal punishment years ago, but not now (frankly I'd have throttled anyone who touched a little DoodleBob). Society is ok with a bunch of stuff now, and that gets approved by the administrators. The teachers have to navigate through sex ed, CRT, and (to be fair) parents more interested in dual incomes vs Johnny's grasp of algebra.
The beneficiaries of this Three-card Monty are the NEA, Zen-fascist teachers, administrators, and the handful of parents and kids who thrive in this property tax-funded environment. The rest of us - including frustrated teachers - are losers.
Pull into this discussion the fact that roughly 10 percent of students experience sexual misconduct by a teacher at some time during their K-12 school experience and yet NOBODY is doing anything about it (including many parents who say "it can't happen here") and you're left with the current state of American public education.
Every day a parent fights the educational-industrial complex is a day lost on their kids. I can spend a lifetime defending the 2nd Amendment but a parent has only so many years with a child. The parent's best option is to simply abandon ship, and homeschool. Your child is too important to make them a pawn in this rigged game. And, the reality is, homeschooling doesn't need to make up 90% of the nation...at some point the percentage becomes a minority that punches above its weight.
Does Joe even know what constituency he is stirring into action with this talk? The moms of America are not going to accept this concept of surrendering their children to the tender mercies of a decadent teachers’ union plan for progressive indoctrination in the nuances of CRT and early-onset sexuality instruction.
The results in Virginia should have been an early-warning shot for the Washington Democrat Socialists.

My conspiracy theory is they want Republicans controlling the House and Senate when a global economic crash happens.
The sad truth is most kids learn the important stuff from their parents. If you have decent parents you will probably be OK regardless of what goes on in school. I taught my kids to question everything and make people prove their points. In a nutshell, to think critically for themselves. Both are doing quite now at 20 years of age(twins). I feel bad for kids in bad family situations. They have a tough row to hoe.
Such populations are disappearing, that's the problem. The Americans who weren't going to tolerate this-or-that ended up so tolerating. Anyway, for many years now they've been croaking apace.

The commies of USSR took over in Cuba. If a Cuban kid was making As in school, the Soviets would ship the kid to Russia and the Cuban parents would never see their kid again.
