Mayorkas: Disinformation Board Won’t Infringe on Free Speech, Monitor Americans
Breitbart ^ | 05/01/2022 | Pam Key

Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas said Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union” that the Disinformation Governance Board would not infringe on free speech or monitor Americans.

Anchor Dana Bash said, “Let’s talk about what your department is calling, The Disinformation Governance Board that you unveiled this week. Republicans are calling it Orwellian and comparing it to the ministry of truth in the novel 1984. Can you clarify what exactly is this? What exactly will this disinformation governance board do? Will it monitor American citizens? ”

Short answer, no.

A proper opposition/Republican party would have filed injunctions, lawsuits, etc about two hours after this unconstitutional travesty was announced.

So far, all we have are our representatives tweets goofing on the woman involved singing and jokes about a ministry of truth. Haha.

Everytime one of these campaigning fools say they’re gonna FIGHT for you, laugh in their face.

Sen. Portman R OH and a few others voted YES to confirm this guy, btw.

The Board will not monitor U.S. citizens but it will set up rules to require social media entities to monitor U.S. citizens.

What [this internal working group] will do is gather together best practices in addressing the threat of disinformation from foreign state adversaries, from the cartels and disseminate those best practices to the OPERATORS that have been executing and addressing this threat for years.”

Sounds like this “group” to meant to direct the censors at Twitter, Facebook, CNNNBCMSNBCCBSABCNYTWAPO, etc., who do the dirty work under the guise of it being part of their “business”.

A “reporter” might have asked:
WHO specifically are these OPERATORS? Name some examples.

Why did you inject the term “CARTELS”? What “CARTELS” are involved in disinformation campaigns?

If this is about foreign actors only, why is it centered in the Department of HOMELAND Security? Why appoint an ultra-partisan domestic policy guerilla with no foreign intel experience as the head of a “working group” dealing with foreign disinformation?

If the US government decides what is truth regarding foreign affairs, how can the American public evaluate diverse viewpoints and decide what to believe and how to vote?

Then what’s its purpose?

A ministry of disinformation that won’t monitor what Americans are saying or ‘correct’ what they’re saying is an oxymoron.

Therefore... you’re LYING and our government is completely corrupted and unconstitutional.

Yeah, it’s not gonna monitor Americans, that’s why it’ll know how and to whom to respond with the police state smears, internments, and prosecutions.

No, they won’t invade citizens’ free speech or take their rights - they’ll just use the power of rabid leftist government to get social media venues (’free’ private enterprise) to do it.

That! is the definition of fascism. When the instruments of your founding (i.e., the US Constitution) preclude you from acting legally on your own, FORCE providers by other extraneous government rule, harassment, threats or coercion (financial penalty) to do it for you.

They see a terrible storm coming this November. Let’s all go out and vote - make it an event they will remember throughout their lives.

Oceania was at war with Eastasia: Oceania had always been at war with Eastasia. A large part of the political literature of five years was now completely obsolete. Reports and records of all kinds, newspapers, books, pamphlets, films, sound-tracks, photographs--all had to be rectified at lightning speed. Although no directive was ever issued, it was known that the chiefs of the Department intended that within one week no reference to the war with Eurasia, or the alliance with Eastasia, should remain in existence anywhere.

The way the left works, that is very much an open declaration that the entire purpose of that “Disinformation Board” is to kill free speech and spy on Americans.

If a leftist claim they’ll never do a thing, it’s because they’re already doing that thing.

Alejandro Mayorkas doesn’t give a damn about our history as a free country. He’s a thug. A two bit totalitarian thug.
