Russia used a diesel submarine in the Black Sea to strike Ukrainian military targets with Kalibr cruise missiles, the first time Moscow has announced the use of its submarine fleet to hit its former Soviet neighbor.

The Russian defense ministry released a video showing a volley of Kalibr missiles emerging from the sea and soaring off into the horizon - to what the ministry said were Ukrainian military targets.

This is the first time Russia's military has reported using submarine strikes against Ukrainian targets, Interfax news agency reported on Friday.

Good, let them clean up their own mess.

The only real threat Russia poses to me, and my life, are their nuclear weapons.

I am now less safe, not more.

Let me ask you a question; since you think brushes out there committing war crimes and invading weaker neighbors and all that what about those children in the United States killed in the drone attack and revenge for the suicide bombing and cabal that wasn’t even the person that did it? Should we send Joe Biden for war crimes to the Hague?

“Russia wants their natural resources.”

I was being facetious. I know why Russia isn’t going to withdraw.

Russia won’t always be ruled by kleptos and morons like Vladimir the Special. With an empire already in hand, Peter the Great added to Russia’s holdings (hence the Great). Catherine the Great added some more. Stalin added some more. That’s the way it goes. That’s why you want to hold the line.

Poland, #1
Without Nato and the US they would be in Kaliningrad by now.

And without Nato and the US they would have had a much larger military to do it with. US involvement kept tensions low and permitted everyone to run down their militaries. Its the US that created the long peace.

But the flip side is that promises were made.

You said Russia should hand back the Kurils. And by that I presume you mean the ones claimed by Japan. Why do you think Russia should hand them back. They are war booty.

Yes, I know. I was being facetious. Navy Patriot is pro-Russia, so I was just jerking his chain.

Poland is poor as shit. They couldn’t afford to do anything without our involvement. But you’re saying we’re restraining them?

Are you sure you intended to send this post to me? Because it has absolutely nothing to do with my posted comment.

And I don’t understand your phrase “brushes out there committing war crimes.” What the hell does that even mean?

Based on your reasoning, maybe we should let Putin roll over the rest of Europe. Surely he can’t possibly do anything useful with it. Heck - let him roll over the Middle East. What’s the big deal?

Here’s a bit of reality. Without US help, Russia would already be done with the invasion. It would have taken more than 3 days, but it would be over.

If there’s anyone who needs to step away from the Risk board, it’s Putin. Until he does, we need to keep bleeding him.

The corrupt regime was threatening US military bases and the Panama canal. The war began after an attack on US servicemen legally in Panama.

Inside the Russian Submarine Service, Russian Sailors have a thing in common with American Submarine Sailors, that’s the Silent Service.

Russia may have the largest nuclear arsenal in the world, but if they are in the same condition as Russian tanks, trucks, and other transport, I would be afraid one might blow up in its silo if launched.

Regarding the “abortion worshipping USA,” see the interactive map linked below. Russia’s abortion rate is the highest in the world at 53 per 1000 women. The next highest is Vitenam a 35 per thousand. US isn’t even in the top ten and is 20.8 per 1000. No wonder Putin has to start this war now, while he still has some young men to send to war. At the Russian abortion rate Russia probably has the fastest population shrink rate of any country in the world. People there REALLY don’t want to have any children.

The principal lesson of history is that you may not be interested in reality, but reality will wash over you regardless.

Yes you should care. Spain is a very good bellwether country as to general European opinion. And what the heck have you got against Spain?

“Inside the Russian Submarine Service, Russian Sailors have a thing in common with American Submarine Sailors, that’s the Silent Service.”

Yeah, I understand that. But “silent service” has to do with running submerged; it has nothing to do with not talking. The most extravagant talkers I ever knew were sailors.
