But he is useful to us right now. We should be thankful and exploit the good that he is doing and then fight him when we need to.

The real test will be if he keeps his word. When he posts his beliefs and sentiments on Twitter will he allow people to oppose him and even mock him with their free speech responses? He has always had the persona of a cult leader and may in the final analysis might like this free speech business if directed against him.
