Former Attorney General Bill Barr said Thursday on Newsmax TV’s “Spicer & Co.” that former President Donald Trump should not be the Republican Party’s 2024 presidential nominee.
Barr said, “Maybe your audience doesn’t want to hear this, but Trump ran weaker than the Republican ticket in Arizona, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania — 75,000 Republicans went to the polls and voted straight Republican ticket in Arizona and didn’t vote for him, 60,000 in Wisconsin, 60,000 and Pennsylvania. That’s why he lost the election.”

That’s why he lost the election.
(Ballots, not living, breathing voters. I'm still waiting for the forensic audits.)

How can I be a never-Trumper, comedian, when I voted for him twice and may again?
Trump did an very good job until he was dominated by Fauci, but he did have mediocre personnel judgement. Wray, Barr, and Kavanaugh were all serious mistakes.
I’d vote for Trump again in November 2024, but in a primary I would choose DeSantis.

In an odd sort of way, I agree. Maybe it should be a US version of Pinochet.

Sod Off, Swampy, as the saying goes.
Barr is the guy who argued for Horiuchi/HRT in court after Horiuchi blew Vicki Weaver’s head off from half a mile away while she was holding her baby in her arms.
She was Randy’s wife, it wasn’t a hostage situation...and she wasn’t holding any hostages.

Backstabbing or just telling the truth? Trump’s ultimately to blame for his loss.

That may be, but Trump was his own worst enemy in 2020 particularly in the home stretch of the campaign. He’s doing himself no favors continuing to whine about 2020 and not look forward and rehabilitate himself with voters. He cannot wine without doing so.

Agree.
Trump did not realize all those deep state swamp monsters were not interested in making America great again. They had a different agenda.

I think the first mistake made in the firs term was, "I can finish the important stuff in my second term." There is no garauntee of a second term, when there are so many people with bad intentions in charge of reporting the results with no transparent audits or reviews.
The 2nd mistake is keeping the beast alive. If you believe the Department of Whatever is a waste of time and money, appointing a new Sec. of Whatever is just keeping the money and bad rules flowing.
