A mother and her boyfriend were sentenced in the death of 9-year-old Trinity Love Jones, whose body was found in a duffel bag in Hacienda Heights three years ago, authorities said Tuesday.
The child was found dead by maintenance workers on March 5, 2019, her body partially stuffed inside a duffel bag down an embankment in the area of Hacienda Boulevard and Colima Road.
The discovery shocked the community, with the child’s body going unidentified for days as authorities circled sketches of the girl and tips poured in.

Her body was scarred from head to toe, authorities said.
Graham was previously found guilty of enticing a minor for prostitution in San Bernardino County.
Hunt was convicted of child abuse in San Diego County and spent at least a decade in prison

At first I thought it said “sentenced to death”. Ah, well.
I am always amazed at how little thought people give to disposal of a body after a murder.
Put it in a duffle bag and toss it over a hill?
The first thought should be avoiding discovery of the body.
The second thought should be; if it is discovered avoid identification.
These two did not do either.

Jesus doesn’t beat people up.
While, this is one of the very few times I would prefer the death penalty, I guess justice is served with both sentences, if, IF they both serve their entire sentences.
But to me the amazing part of this story is, the photos of the dead girl and her killers are all included.
In the year of our Lord, 2022, I find it amazing & astonishing.

The name would indicate an attempt by the mother to portray herself as a loving person, perhaps even a loving religious person, as opposed to giving the child a more normal name. In other words, the mother was not thinking about the child when she named her; she was thinking about herself. The subsequent fate of Trinity seems to bear out this lack of maternal caring.
May that sweet little girl’s soul Rest In Peace. Looked like a happy child. How ironic that her name was “Trinity Love.”

One thing that breaks my heart is even through the pain you know this little girl was feeling she still managed to smile for the camera. What a sweet, beautiful smile she had.
The head line said they were sentence to death but in the article:
“Hunt pleaded no contest to one count of assault on a child causing death and was sentenced to 25 years to life in prison. Graham pleaded no contest to one count of second-degree murder and was sentenced to 15 years to life,”
Hey, it’s LA. Murder is now misdemeanor isn’t it?
Tell that to the moneychangers at the Temple
When it was almost time for the Jewish Passover, Jesus went up to Jerusalem. In the temple courts he found people selling cattle, sheep and doves, and others sitting at tables exchanging money. So he made a whip out of cords, and drove all from the temple courts, both sheep and cattle; he scattered the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables.
