I guess everybody is used to sitting at home and don't want to interact with anybody anymore

Can’t play video games at the office.

Save 1.5 hours of travel, wear and tear on vehicle, gas money, and most important to me, no woke bitch that tries to destroy everyone.

Too difficult/awkward to masturbate at the office.

I am not Gen Z and I go to work every day as required. It is not a pleasant environment as many workers are profane all of the time. However, I GO to work and suffer it. No sympathy for those who won’t go because they don’t like the way people talk to them. You will NEVER be able to fix that.

Many many young people have moved while working from home the last two years.

I actually give them credit here. Refusing to come back to the office is a rational response to a dystopian series of irrational and idiotic mandates over the course of the last two years.

“It’s safe to come back to the office, but you must get a useless vaccine, stay six feet apart, and wear a diaper on your face.” … I wouldn’t spend 5 minutes working in a place where that kind of idiocy rules the day.

I disagree. I have 3 Gen Z very young adults in the workforce (early 20s) and they long to be in the office. They are so happy that their workforces have returned to hybrid. 2-3 times a week in the office and business travel resuming. They hate zoom and not seeing coworkers and clients in person.

All these states that got these COVID bailouts will watch their cities-hello NYC- go bankrupt because none of these employees want to commute to these dangerous, crime infested, ridiculously expensive cities. And it will serve them right.

There's nothing in the office but lower productivity and the overarching risk that you'll offend some useless employee by not using the right terminology and you get fired because the korporate cowards and entrenched malcontent snowflakes got triggered.

COVID-1984 forced what has been long overdue in the workplace.

With NetFlix turning into a dump, and the other movie networks not offering much worth watching, perhaps those people working at home will have no choice but to return to the office.

Also, unless they’re rich or don’t need much to survive on, they’ll be forced to return to work at the employers’ office.

How are they planning on supporting themselves when they are replaced by people who will go to the office?

I used to work for a large company, but about 25 years ago I decided that I wanted to work longer hours and make less money so I went into business for myself.

They are used to sitting at home and working maybe 30 minutes a day and getting paid for 8 hours.

Ya know... sometimes a person just needs a hard Will Smith slap. Spoiled children must grow up sometime. I`ve been reading about these Gen Z women quitting their cashier jobs because their employer won`t let their boyfriends hang out with them all day at work. WTH!

I have no idea where these kids, perpetual life-long children, get their money or how they get by in general. At some point reality is going to hit them hard. If only their parents did it early enough to slap the lazy spoiled brat out of them early in life.

I always avoided working from home. If something truly had to be done after hours, I’d go to the office, or out to the site, or whatever. I saw too many people working at home whose supervisors would feel free to call them at any hour of any day with some “really important” thing that had to be done right then.

I’m Gen X and I don’t want to go back either. I’m a Software Architect and there is no reason I need to be in an office. I work more now because I’m not driving back and forth each day. I can wake up, eat, and get to work immediately. Would I quit if I had to go back? Probably not. Luckily, my company is not run by morons that force the issue.

The paradigm is shifting to everything online. Learn to code. It’s good money.

So are they all going on the dole? How will they make money? Are there enough remote work jobs for all of them?
