Former Trump-era COVID-19 response coordinator Deborah Birx said in an interview Monday on “Good Morning America” that she demanded that the White House retract then-President Trump’s comment on potentially using disinfectant against COVID-19.
Trump’s comment, made during a briefing on April 23, 2020, during the early days of the pandemic, implied that injected disinfectant could help fight the coronavirus.

So in the article she prattles on some nonsense about trump saying that he was going to decrease testing but actually he was spending billions more on more testing.. So then what is she talking about?

It would have been refreshing if she had said, “Let me clear the air about the misunderstanding...” and then mentioned the research they were doing with UV light. But she did not, and now wants to rewrite her role. I never liked her. I remember how delighted she was that everyone stayed home. Which didn’t work and cost lives. Why didn’t they ask her about that?
She’s a liar. Only leftwing nuts or the wilfully ignorant believe he said that. He was referring to UV light, not bleach, not a chemical agent of any kind. And it was indeed being studied at the time. But this “doctor” is really a political hack, just not as much of an extreme one as Fauci.

This is EXACTLY the kind of thing all the self-righteous social media are cancelling. I’ve been kicked out for “COVID misinformation” for suggesting the vax mandates aren’t really over, and for relaying my experiences from COVID. Because they didn’t fit the narrative.
Government work doesn’t attract the best and the brightest. It attract the criminals, the psychopaths, the control freaks. Pretty much doesn’t matter WHO in the government is picked, you’re going to get a Birx, Fauci, or similar.
He said something along those lines. He wasn’t being serious. It was a slip.
But people think everything a President says is vetted and thought through.
