No, but offhand, firing 7 shots into a car through the window, at a perp armed with a knife, seems rather excessive.
All I know is, after over two years of guessing & second guessing Trooper Brian North, they decided that a man with a knife is not a danger to the police or members of the public. Besides, Trooper North should have known the sorry son of a b(tch was schizoid. Simply by seeing him. Besides that he was black, therefor a protected species.

But to putting 7 rounds thought the window, I’d guess the cop clearly thought he was in imminent danger.

It’s probably true that the cop didn’t need to kill the jerk. He was pinned in a car with a knife and was not an immediate threat. I don’t know if there was any tear gas available but that would have resolved the matter pretty quickly.
Monday morning quarterbacking and all but the jerk probably didn’t need to die.
The article uppercases black but lowercases White, and so is not worth the paper it’s printed on.
