Pedophile behavior is not “political”, it is anathema.

If DeSantis has evidence of pedophilia and his response is to try to remove a tax break he's unfit to be governor.

I believe that DeSantis doesn’t want to put his wife thru the turmoil right now after her experience with cancer.

What DeSantis proposes, placing Disney World under local county government, isn’t a sanction.

I see. It's just coincidence that it comes after a political spat.

You should tell all the FReepers here who are celebrating the proposal.

“Free speech” doesn’t mean you have the right to advocate for violence or damage upon a person or persons.

They're advocating illegal actions and DeSantis' response it to try to cut back a tax break?

After all the Disney propaganda to transgender and homofy children I can’t help to think Mickey Mouse has really been a gerbil after all.

NTC Orlando Started as an army base in 1940. Disney world opened in 1972? I believe they started buying up the swamp in the mid 60’s. I remember in 1972 it was a long bus ride from our hotel to disney. And the airport was really small. Like 12 total gates or so. I was a kid its hard to remember. But i do remember space mountain wasn’t opep and Disney world was in the middle of nothing.

Disney should consider what is good for its business.

Those to whom Disney is responsible, its shareholders, would agree.

Turn that around. How would this sound…

“You’re giving tax breaks to people advocating illegal actions?”

This isn’t necessarily all DeSantis will do, but it is a good start. Investigations into why so many Disney employees have been arrested for sexual misconduct would be a good next step.

I am in favor of this no matter what disney does.

Special districts really are not in keeping with American ideals.

Nice little theme park you got there.

Be a real shame if something bad happened to it...

I see you are back again defending Pedos and their enablers.

There is no such thing as Free Speech rights for corporations.

Only for people.

I've no argument with that opinion.

No one can argue that this isn't the state punishing them for political speech - it obviously is.

Absolutely it is not.

It is about the promotion of the rape of young children. Which is a criminal activity.

DeSantis seemed to think it was a fair deal until Disney spoke out.

In favor of CHILD RAPE.

You keep avoiding this and I am going to continue to bring it up.

Disney has come out publicly in favor of conditioning children to accept sexual advances from adults.

You think that this is ok.

It is not.

I really don't care what you have a problem with.

You think that companies who are openly in favor of conditioning children to accept sexual advances from adult should continue to receive special privileges, tax and otherwise.

That is really sick.

No one is their “own man” in politics. DeSantis didn’t get where he was by himself, and neither did Trump.

So charge them with a crime. Don't just tweak their tax breaks.

Promoting the sexualization of young children is not a crime. Just the doing of it.

That is why the "No to Classroom Grooming" Bill was necessary. It will not prevent the perverts from continuing their promotion of child rape but it will keep it from happening in government schools on the tax payers dime.

But you understand that already.

People with a sense of morality somewhere above democrat or serial killer understand it is a bad idea for companies who promote such things to be given special government deals. Especially when those deals make it easier for them to have access to children.

I'd submit that I believe he's just getting the ball rolling here.
