Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) announced on Tuesday that the state legislature will consider a proposal to eliminate Disney’s special tax and governing jurisdiction in DeSantis’s fight against the megacorporation’s woke politics.
“I am announcing today that we are expanding the call of what they are going to be considering this week, and so yes, they will be considering … termination of all special districts that were enacted in Florida prior to 1968, and that includes the Reedy Creek Improvement District,” DeSantis declared.
The Reedy Creek Improvement District is Disney’s special governing and special taxing district for the Walt Disney World Resort. The Florida legislature authorized this in 1967 to boost economic development and tourism within the district’s boundaries. This includes 25,000 acres.
Eliminating this special district would serve as a significant economic blow to the Disney corporation.

I will vote for DeSantis before Trump next general election. Trump has too much baggage that the MSM will hit on 24/7. I’m sure they are already looking for some ancient scandal on DeSantis. Still, he’s my favorite at the moment.

If Trump runs I don’t think DeSantis would, or if he did he would be running for VP. A Trump/DeSantis ticket would be perfect. I can hear liberal heads exploding already. Libs that survived until 2028, are going to completely melt down with the DeSantis/Trump Jr. ticket.
No doubt the msm will go after no DeSantis just as hard. He’s NOT in the “club” therefore must not be allowed in the offal office. They won’t let that happen again as they did with Trump. The lame stream has soured too many against Trump(and most of them have no idea why they dislike him other than the lame stream said so) for him to be viable in ‘24.
